I don't understand. How can the face of women's volleyball and the Caitlin Clark of women's volleyball not be on this list? Because Logan Tom graduated a while ago.  |

That's...great lol? Even if she goes off in the tourney, that doesn't mean you're right you realize that lmao? It's called the season awards, not the tournament awards. If we're just doing it based on brand names, might as well just poll at the beginning of the season and give out the awards then lmao, why wait for the season. There's already quite a bit of inertia with the AVCA awards where previous AAs make next-year's team based a lot more on brand names that on performances, and yet you're complaining about one of the things they got right this time? Plummer wasn't even an AA in 2019 when she dominated the tourney, but no one complained about that since she was literally out like half the year and thus didn't have the stats for it. never once did i say anything about brand names lol. her name is obviously big, but she also has the talent to back it up? She didn't back it up this season so far, and that's why she's not a nominee, simple as that. I can't believe you're sitting here arguing that a 3.86 K/S at .239 and 4.38 points/set statline is somehow worthy of a NPOY semifinalist nominee berth lmao. Let's not even mention some of the shocking Ls Texas has taken (yes, team success is part of it). If it was literally anyone else this wouldn't even be an argument, so the only reason this is an argument is because of her name/who she is, which coincidentally, is NOT or at least should NOT be how the AVCA awards are chosen. |

DeLeye was snubbed. You can't tell me she's not one of the top 15 players in the country. Wow. Who is she better than? One of the setters? Every single pin on that list + Sis hits at a higher clip with similar or more kills, digs more balls, and blocks more balls. In the latter two categories she’s shockingly lacking. Deleye has more kills/points per set than everyone on those lists not named Martin, Babcock or Parra. And Mruzik and Parra do not hit at a higher clip.
I'll give you her blocking, but convenient you left out aces/set lol. And her digging numbers are certainly affected by the fact she is surrounded by incredible defenders.
You can make a solid argument for why Deleye was correctly left off without making up stats lol
