Oh rough. I wouldn’t be too concerned. MN has had struggles the last few weeks and WI seems to be peaking. Badgers in 3 unfortunately. Anyone injured from MN at the moment besides McKenna? I think just Wucherer. They looked better when Acevedo played her backrow, however. My best guess at the lineup will be that Wucherer plays 3 rotations (if she’s able to play at all).

#6 Wisconsin vs. #16 Minnesota | Wednesday, November 20, 2024 - 9 PM Central | UW Field House - Madison, Wisconsin |
I think the game is 8 pm Central, 9 pm Eastern. After staying up late to watch the west coast games, I had a heart attack when I saw this.

Sorry, typo. Will fix when I get to a computer.

Unfortunately for the Gophers, serving GG 60 balls isn't likely to be an option again There's a world in which GG is ready to come back, Lola isn't, and Sheff puts GG at libero over Saige. I think before the UCLA match that would have been the expected sub pattern. But with Saige holding up well in serve receive, I think he chooses to leave GG in her DS and non-passing role. Alternately he leaves them both out, figures we can beat Minnesota w/o either, and tries to have them both back for Nebraska. We have so much more to gain in the Nebraska game than we have to lose in the Minnesota game.

Fingers crossed smrek forgets how to play volleyball and also forgets to be 6'9" tonight Forgetting how to jump will probably be enough… she can still remember that she’s 6’9” as long as those feet stay firmly on the ground!

"Bomb cyclone is a term given by meteorologists to a storm that appears to intensify rapidly, with its central air pressure dropping to at least 24 millibars in 24 hours. They are referred to as 'bomb' cyclones due to the explosive power of these storms caused by the rapid fall in pressure."
Enjoyed one of these last night. I believe The Badgers will be the volleyball equivalent of a bomb cyclone tonight and The Gophers will be blown back to Minneapolis with a big L to think about.

Maybe the Gophers will be blown back to Mpls but leave the big L in Madison

Golden Gophers, you know what to do. This comment takes the L but it does add to the message count at least.

Really hoping for a good game! Wisconsin has been on another level these past few weeks offensively but Minnesota is scrappy and is more than capable of hanging. I think for Wisconsin to win, they'll have to come out the gate strong on the block and killing the first ball. I think Hanson can go off and Wisconsin could still win, especially if Charlie is mixing up the offense well. For Minnesota, tough serving and strong defense will be necessary. Minatee and Awoleye need to have good nights, and they'll need some level of production on the left, from Wookie, Acevedo, or whoever. I think Wisconsin takes it in 4 but I hope I'm wrong and we have a long night of volleyball
