GT coaches are so classesless getting mad at the official for making the right calls and it reflects on the players too bc the way the oppo was screaming at the R2 at 9-12 in the 5th is ridiculous.. shouldve been a red card for her after Collier was carded earlier in the set for yelling at same official They were sanctioned a point, went right from 9-12 to 9-13. |

Their act is getting old. It is every match. And the matches I've seen of GT the past 3 years, their behavior is inexcusable and have dodged many card opps. Michelle was not like that as a player nor starting out as a coach, but to me the assitant has rubbed off on her. |

Just watched the replay of this one. Collier's antics throughout the match, but especially in the 5th set, were embarrasing. Refs made all the right calls too. Of course her players are going to reflect the tone and tenor of their coaching staff. Playing and coaching in a constant state of grievance is not where you are going to experience growth or development.
If I'm a prospective recruit, is this the type of environment I want to enter? Who wants to play like this?

Who wants to play like this? I would NOT! I understand you can get frustrated at times with the refs but not to this level and consistently from all of their coaches. Can NCAA do anything about it? Does GT usually act like this? Because I would have benched my players immediately for yelling at the ref like that, regardless of the call. The coaches job is to talk to the ref, not yours..
And the coaches were acting like children, but they’re Brazilian so I’m not shocked about that.
If I was the NCAA, I would impose immediate punishments for that. That was not ok at all

On another topic, was this Soares first game back for GT? It's probably not going to be enough to get them hosting the first two rounds, as their schedule is brutal, but you never know once the tournament begins. If they are clicking, they can beat any of the teams on the 3 and 4 lines.
