Incoming challenge at 10-7 Miami-FL in the 5th. Could be 9-8 instead.
One of Miami's players (it was Ariana or Wilson, not sure) got carded in the 5th. The tensions have sort of eased, but, we'll see how this call goes.

Miami should've challenged GT's middle kill

Coach Keno also subbed AFTER the time-out which caused a slightly, but still longer delay. It's all about the U!

Flormarie with 12 errors but it's ok because she still hit .288 with 29 kills

Can someone explain in a nutshell why GT seems to be much less than they were expected to be a couple of months ago?

Can someone explain in a nutshell why GT seems to be much less than they were expected to be a couple of months ago? Injuries at S and OPP + physically limited outsides + headcase coach.

Who was the yellow card on? Was it on the GT coaches for mouthing off, or was it for the Miami middle for staring back after a block?
Pretty epic collapse for GT. And their last two games are home Stanford and at Pitt. They probably aren't going to be getting a top 16 seed.

I think also their wins were just overvalued at that point - Georgia(!)/BYU/Florida/Auburn are not as good as they appeared. And that loss to UCLA looks WAY worse than it did Week 1.

Just watched the replay of this one. Collier's antics throughout the match, but especially in the 5th set, were embarrasing. Refs made all the right calls too. Of course her players are going to reflect the tone and tenor of their coaching staff. Playing and coaching in a constant state of grievance is not where you are going to experience growth or development. If I'm a prospective recruit, is this the type of environment I want to enter? Who wants to play like this? If you've got the law, argue the law. If you've got the facts, highlight the facts. If you've got neither, pound the table. If you've got the players, let 'em play. If you've got coaching chops, coach. If you've got neither, scream at the refs and whine.
