That seems fair, given capacities and level of teams. Obviously, one is huge for me, the other, yeah, Badgers, get bowl eligible!

Wisconsin played Minnesota in volleyball on Wednesday, and plays Minnesota in football next Friday (day after thanksgiving). I was watching prices on SeatGeek more for football than VB, but for a while the two were pretty close; lowest for VB was low $20s, football upper $20s. But then VB prices 'collapsed' down to $10 or so. There's a good chance football will, too, when we get closer. (Right now, $26)

While I am rooting for Wisconsin, this feels like a Nebraska win in the making.
100% agree that Wisconsin needs to improve their serve receive to stand a chance because Nebraska's defense is just that good. Damrow will be tested by fire tomorrow, and Orzol and Franklin will need to help her. I expect to see both to poach some balls, especially when Damrow is passing at 1.
And even if Wisconsin can solve it's passing woes from the first time these teams met this season, scoring points off their own serve won't be easy. Cook has the most enviable passing line up in his three littles plus Murray. But what really stands out from that first match is how unbothered Murray, Beason, and Landfair were by the vaunted Wisconsin block even out of system. This is especially true for Murray, who impressed in having her way with an established block.
With that said, Wisconsin has the offensive fire power and net-play athleticism to make life difficult for the Huskers.
First serve can't come soon enough.

Was this written by Harper Murray's friends or something? She hit 6-3-22, .136, in the first match against Wisconsin, and Nebraska was literally actively setting away from her with Smrek in front of her. Like yes, Beason and Landfair did their share in killing us, but what is this falsified claim about Murray lol?

To now maybe argue against myself (see earlier posts), perhaps Wisconsin has a stronger chance than I was thinking if they can do something they've done multiple times before?: shut down Landfair. I was just looking back at the stats from the last WI/NE match and was shocked all over again upon being reminded that Landfair led in kills (albeit with Beason at a close second with a much better hitting %). I don't recall Landfair being that much of a factor against Wisconsin when she was with Minnesota, at least not most of the time, nor do I have the impression that she has been that much of a factor in most of NE's matches this year. However, I didn't go back and check all of the stats on that. Maybe someone who has been following more closely can tell me I'm wrong.

Since the last meeting with the Badgers, Murray and Landfair have been the most effective outsides (in that order), and MB13 has fallen back into a funk like she was at the start of the season. Not sure why. If Beason has another 'struggle session' tonight, it will make the offense a quagmire. The Huskers are already offensively defficient at one spot (Allick), they can't afford MB13 to also have trouble putting down balls, particularly in the rotations both are on the front line. Would really like to see Blackwell out there instead of Allick, but that isn't going to happen, particularly this late in the season.

Landfair and Beason have some advantages against Wisconsin that Neb has to (and did the first time) exploit. Landfair had some rotations against Charlie and Neb needs to take advantage of that; especially when Andi is in front row and Wis is commit blocking on her. Beason primarily is up against Franklin, but when Booth is fromt row Neb can abuse that block. Booth isn't the best at closing to her left and there are many times her block is pulled way off the net (like set point in set #2). Landfair also had quite a bit of success in ro 1 that game hitting against that. Of course, this is assuming Neb is in system.

Senior day in Devaney. Libero problem. I just don't know how Wisconsin can win this.
I am not asking much - don't score below 15.

Lexi Rodgriquez with some insight on the Huskers and the Wisconsin/Nebraska matchups below.
One of my favorite non Badgers volleyball players and I'm happy that she provided a little Bulletin Board material, thanks Lexi. "We're pretty close to unbeatable" 😁
