Can't coach Choboy's athleticism. Can coach passing and dig accuracy, as demonstrated by Choboy's improvement. Again it will be a close competition next August. Both will likely be improved by then. Keep in mind, just because something can be coached doesn't mean a player will develop the acumen or a particular skill. Sometimes there are athletes that are not just that athletic but are gifted between the ears and no amount of athleticism can make up for it. Tom Brady wasn't a quick-twitch athlete, but is probably the GOAT NFL QB. Specific to the Huskers, neither Larson or Foecke ever jumped touched over 10'2", but their VB IQ and mental toughness made them better than most of their more athletic contemporaries. Even more specific to the libero position, JWO and Rodriguez were not as athletic as Maloney or Knuckles, but which pair is better (granted, all four were excellent in their own right)? Speaking of Mauch, she's not as athletic as Choboy, but she is more athletic than JWO or Rodriguez. Mauch is more in the Banwarth mold, pretty good athleticism, but not elite, but a great mind for the game with an advanced skill set. No disagreement. IMO Choboy has made significant progress in passing and dig accuracy this season. No doubt pushed by Mauch and facilitated by coaching. IMO Choboy has a good shot at libero in 2025. Mauch does as well, but at this point Choboy has the edge IMO, an amatuer opinion, irrelevant to how it all sorts out. The competition next August will be close, again IMO. |

all this talk about next year when we still have a season to finish out.
Hoping for a strong B1G presence in the post-season…would love to see NEB’s senior class walk away with the whole thing and on top

Maybe it's a Nebraska thing but it's OK that others may not all find the match all that fun as you did. Sorry that it continues to rankle you to the core of your soul. Got it. You did not find the match fun to watch. What I am criticizing you for is saying others didn't. But that seems to sail right by you. LMAO at your continued hubris. Ur the one that can't let it go. Move along the match was fun for some others not. Take your self important nonsense and move it along! |
