I think this one (along with the conference championship) is probably going to you, Nebraska, but I sure wish that both Lola and GG were playing for Wisconsin, to make it interesting. I'm sad if/that we never get/got to see these two teams play this year with Wisconsin injury free. Nobody was missing from Wisconsin's lineup on Nov 1st. To the extent that anyone is fully healthy at this point in the year, UW was full go for that first match. No excuses, we just got beat. Mea culpa. Looking back, I see you're right that no one was missing. It just seemed like that was so long ago, and I was thinking, incorrectly, that the Badgers were still injury-affected (or at least that that match was before they had settled on the lineup with Lola as full-time libero). However, to be clear, I wasn't making excuses. I'm just pining for a(nother?) match with both teams at their best. |

Anna and Co. will be rested. (The MN match was a few days after returning from the West Coast swing).

I'm praying GG's back and Smrek's mindfulness are both miraculously healed by Our Lady of the VolleyTalk sometime between now and tomorrow. Anybody got a relic I can venerate? Sorry. I have all the relics and they are already in use for the team across the net from Smrek. Will also be using them before a game in central Pennsylvania on November 29. |

While we're at it, let's turn that .094 team hitting % into .394 for the match and add a little service pressure to the mix. Thank you and Go Badgers.

I was bummed to hear that senior night was against Wisconsin, but now that I think about it could be a great test and prep for the tournament, especially the late rounds. Playing a FF caliber team while having to regulate your emotions. Wisconsin will be hungry but so will the Huskers, idk if I can take a 5 setter like the game last night. Was tough watching as a neutral fan haha. Does Taylor Landfair have one more year of eligibility after this? Attachments:

I think the huskers have this one. They have been playing really good clean VB. The badgers would have to minimize errors and have their serving game in good order to have a chance to take this one. They also have to play like goldfish. I’m hoping for a good game, but as the badgers are currently playing I think the huskers take this one. I think two freshmen in critical roles gives the edge to Nebraska and overall Nebraska has the higher ceiling this year. Still anything can happen—just hoping the badgers play out of their minds and make things interesting—also hoping this game helps them grow so we can see them in Louisville. They have been spiraling forward so let’s hope this is their best game yet.

After watching the Minnesota match I just don’t think Wisconsin can serve receive at the level required to beat Nebraska. Nebraska’s defense also keeps them in points other teams are not able to. Nebraska 3-0. Wisconsin might steal a game but no serious scare.
