trojansc did Virginia just play themselves out of the tournament with a loss at home, on senior day, to Boston College? They got Haggerty'd... also UVA block is bad.

I will be absolutely shocked if Creigthon is something other than a #5 or #6 seed (assuming they win today). Wins over #12, 14, 17 (3X), 21, and 24. Only 2 losses for the season - to #2 and #3 (both on the road). #5 RPI. Top 15 overall schedule and #1 out of conference schedule. Top 4 in Pablo and Evollve (I know that this isn't a metric, but advisory committee has a say, and they are likely to think Creighton is at least a top 6 team in the country). I get that you and I are at opposite ends of our opinions on Creighton's resume'. If the committee awards a national Top 5 seed to a team whose best win is against RPI #12 then their system is flawed. I forget your stance on RPI in and of itself, but that's the main reason Creighton was #6 in the committee's reveal on October 20. If you gave the other Top 10 teams Creighton's exact schedule to play, how many of them do you think would have more than 2 losses? Maybe one or two, IMO. Pretty easy to make a case that Stanford, SMU, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Arizona State ALL would have a worse record than Creighton, playing the same schedule. Also easy to argue that if Creighton had played Nebraska and Louisville at home, they’d be undefeated.

I don’t like to put my eye test bias into things either, and I was rooting for UVA this season, but they really didn’t play like an at large team. They had 1 good week against the FLA schools and had an embarrassing non-conf

San Diego took care of their business, but Pepperdine is down 1-2 to Oregon State.

If Stanford beats Louisville, what do top eight seeds look like?

According to my calculations, this will not change with a Nebraska win today. I know people at the committee don't care about this - but I sure hope Pitt and Penn State are on the same side and Louisville and Nebraska are on the other.

Wisconsin Pitt vs. Nebraska is in question, but I would give the edge to Pittsburgh. Louisville vs. Penn State becomes a question if Louisville loses to Stanford. I just don't see how Stanford gets into the top 4. Stanford is #5 with a win - Creighton with a loss. SMU and Wisconsin are in question.

Oregon is a borderline seed while Purdue is a certain 3. I think they give Kansas the 3 based on H2H, plus it relieves them of the sticky issue with 5 Big 12 teams on the 4/5 lines. I think they can 'kick' BYU to a 6 before messing around with 3 vs. 4. But then - is there really a material difference between #12 and #13? I know - potential true road 3rd round vs. neutral, but...

Depends on what the committee does re: Texas/Kentucky. Purdue has H2H with Kentucky and Utah. Kentucky and Texas (especially) have worse losses. Texas has 5 currently to non-hosting teams, Purdue has 0, Kansas has 1 or 2. Kentucky is just not in the conversation in terms of H2H - they've got distance in terms of RPI plus a better win than anyone else. I see the ASU/Texas/Kentucky ordering being one conversation, and then Purdue/Kansas, and then the last two spots. I think this is correct - but it the last 3 spots including Utah (not two spots). ASU/Texas/Kentucky - 9-11 Kansas/Purdue - 12/13 Utah/two others - 14-16 Of course this usually doesn't turn out how I think it should...
