Still not over, but I'm liking Tennessee right about now. If they can beat Penn State, why can't they take on Washington? They took out Penn State without one of their top players in Harmotto. I give Tennessee a lot of credit, however, I don't think they would have won that match (even though it still may have been close) if Harmotto was healthy and playing for the Lions.

You never want to take anything away from an opponents win, but Harmotto completely changes that match. Their ability to neutralize Fawcett doesn't happen with Harmotto on the court. In their 5-1 rotations if you committ on Fawcett Harmotto will kill you and vice versa.

I'm sorry, but PSU cannot and should not use not having Harmotto as an excuse for losing. They just can't. Florida lost their best middle blocker in 2003 and still made it to the championship match. They still steam rolled the rest of the big 10 without her just like they did with her. You play with what you have. As Mary says, to win it all, you have to be good, lucky and healthy, but if you aren't healthy, it's still not an excuse, just like, ultimately, a bad draw isn't an excuse either.

The Tigers are letting the Vols hang around again, not being able to pull away. Wouldn't surprise me if UT came back and won this game, either. If Missouri can somehow win this game, I think it goes five, but UT is just so mentally tough.

21-14, is that lead safe? I doubt it.

21-14 Tigers.
Game 3 is starting to look a bit like game 2 last night between Tennesee and Penn State.

I think this goes 5 and then, it's anyone's game. Still like Tennessee's chances, Amy Morris is such a great leader.

They steamrolled Michigan and Michigan St so let's keep that in the proper perspective.. It isn't an excuse as much as it is a reality. If Florida lost Mcginnis or Hampton I think it would change the dynamic as well as the outcome of a match against a great opponent.
