I want Washington to win, but I honestly think that Nebraska is going to win. Nebraska jus has too much weapons.
But I do think that this will be one of the best championship matches of all time.

Washington in 4. Too much discipline, too much defense, better coaching, and just an overall better team.
Nebraska will have the weight of the volleyball world on their shoulders and I don't think this Husker team is tough enough to bear that weight. Washington otoh, will be very fluid and focused. It will be a dominating performance by the Dawgs.

haha... this thing's gotta run out of sports karma some time... but why not try it...
i think it will be Neb and UW in the final (yeah, really going out on a limb, huh...)
but it'll be fun cheering for the underdogs. Go Broncos!... Vols!...

Do we really need to revisit this whole "regionalism" issue? People on this board rant against the NCAAs use of regionalism, but when it comes down to it, some are taking a hypocritical stance. The game has grown to a national stage and the whole "west coast only" sentiment only hurts the game. The fact that the sport has grown is great for not only the college game, but our olympic program as well. I am continually amazed by the improvements in the level of play in the tournament each year and the pure athleticism of some of the participants, many of whom might not have been exposed to the sport if not for the emphasis on expanding the sport beyond the west coast.

Ill take the Lady Vols over Washington in four first, and then they play an awesome Nebraska team, but we still pull it out and bring the national championship to good old rocky Top for the first time ever.

Tennessee has two chances to beat Washington...slim and none, and slim just left town. We don't expect you guys to know any better being the "johnny come lately" volleyball fans that you are but thinking Tennessee has a shot against U Dub, and a shot to win in 4 no less, is simply too silly.

BIK, it will be a great match, but so many of your assertions are well....... way overblown. That Nebraska will be dominated, is probably not possible, they could lose, but they are way to physical and talented to be dominated. This match will not come down to coaching, both teams are very well coached (obviously) and are going to be well prepared. Not sure how you arrived at Mclaughlin being a better coach than Cook, John has a higher winning percentage, better record head to head etc.... I'm not saying Cook, is better, just saying it is silly to say Washington is better coached. I think Washington is only better than Nebraska in the setting position. Nebraska's three OH are better and so is their middle. If Nebraksa passes well they will win in 4.

Yes, just as we don't expect you "johnny-come-lately" fans to understand that bitter flavor in the air right after a Hawaii loss. ;D Ill take the Lady Vols over Washington in four first, and then they play an awesome Nebraska team, but we still pull it out and bring the national championship to good old rocky Top for the first time ever. I don't see how Nebraska's 3 outsides are better. That would mean either Jen S or the Freshman Larson would be better than either Morrison or Haggerty and that is not the case. Like I said before, U Dub in 4.

No bitterness just facts. Well if you expect the Vols to win, post your prediction.

I might give the nod to Larson over Haggerty in sheer athletic ability so if she plays well that might be a wash. Morrison is one of the best and her injury late last year is what kept UW out of the finals....but only UW has Tomasevic and that might be the difference. But the way this year has gone...I'll take the Vols in 4 over SC!
