Good question, I have not heard anything as far as the status of their appeal nor has the local media talked about this at all....which is probably a good thing.

I've wondered about the no-media, too. Is the volleyball beat so low-priority that no one ever bothers to check message boards? Or are they waiting until an appeal verdict is rendered? In any case, I suppose if University Relations lists the starters everyone expects today, with the option to make a change tomorrow, that buys them a day of not having to explain what's they dilly-o. (Hi, Hamlin)

Unfortunately, it's low-priority w/ 4 mens pro teams, WNBA, etc., etc.. But that's the price we pay. My guess is that the U hasn't even brought it up and will only bring it up if they aren't able to play.

Low priority what with keeping up with the latest Vikings or Timberwolves arrest...
Last I heard, they were still waiting for the NCAA to make a decision.

That is too bad. Minnesota really loaded up with their non-conference schedule, and now that isn't looking like too great of an idea. They have to be hoping to pass well enough to get their middles involved. Otherwise, it could be a tough stretch.

I still don't get this. Did you see the list of players at that tournament? Was it just because they WON?
The NCAA is a joke if something like this is even on their radar -- a bigger joke if it was another Big10 school that "turned them in." Nice.
Meanwhile, welcome to the NCAA, International pros...
Upshot: snickers is on the money. Post-season seed could be out the window unless they pull off some upsets this weekend or finish 2nd (or higher) in the Big10.
Oh, and welcome to DI, Christine. Yikes.

By the way, and knock on wood, this is their 2nd and 3rd string setter they are leaving behind.
Somebody get Rachel a bodyguard.

Love it when you feel the season is already a wash before it even begins. The pain of being a fan. But I'm hoping the best. Tan is very talented, and I think Chin can step in and pash fine. Hopefully our outsides will play strong, block well, and our floor defense will be sufficient. I think it's possible for them to win this tournament. It's not the Nebraska tourney, which will likely be (more) dreadful. BTW -- if Piniata is being penalized extra for playing in the tourney 2 years in a row, why shouldn't we have to erase all games from last year from the record books? Come on NCAA, you bunch of pusses.
