Could this be the year that the Pac-10 dominance at NCAA Final Four/championship come to an end?
Things are lining up for a definate possibility given the 4 Regional host schools; Texas, Florida, Hawai'i, Washington.
A very likely bracket alignment may be:
Nebr @ UH (w/ USC) Stan @ Texas (w/ Ariz) UCLA @ Florida PSU @ Wash (w/ Cal)
With these matchups, I wouldn't bet against a Neb, Texas, Florida, PSU Final Four. (But Final Four with 3 Pac10 teams wouldn't completely surprise me either.)
But a BOLD early season prediction:
NO PAC-10 teams in Omaha in 2006.
(So yeah, I'm a little bored. I rarely read the site after the Final Four (and probably not after RegFinals this year) anyway so blast away if it doesn't happen.)

Well, you are the top vb prognosticator so far... but I think you're off... the Pac-10 always represents.

They won't send PSU to Washington. It didn't go well for PSU last time they were sent to Washington's regional. The Pac-10 Champ will most likely be placed in Washington's regional.

I am just working my magic... 1981 to 2006 = 25-years. Out of 25 years, 2 did not have a Pac-10 rep? That leaves 92% of the Final Fours with a Pac-10 rep. I'll take that percentage.

Stanford, UCLA and Washington have as good a chance as any. With the verdict still out on USC.

The streak that I like to come to an end is Nebraska finally winning a National Championship and not CHOKE!. It's been awhile? Remind me, BIK?

Unless the PAC-10 schools suffer key injuries to their players there is no way, even if the NCAA stacks the regionals as they love to do against West Coast schools, that the PAC-10 won't be represented in the FF......by FAR THE TOUGHEST conference in the country.....none even come close.....these matches will really toughen these schools up and they will be more than ready for the tournament.
