You seem to retrict your point to winning titles.

It isn't an issue of how great Hawaii is, was, or will be in the future.
It is an issue of you using a double standard in making complaints about other's posts while doing the same thing you complain about them doing.

Even when the Wahine have had their best teams, they have never been considered the odds on favorites to win the National title, so choking doesn't really apply to the National Title question. 88 is the only year where Hawai'i could have been considered to have choked away the Title. Two separate items: - UH hasn't won a title in 18 years - UH has ended their season in matches that they either should have won, had the match won then dumped it, or at least went into a match that was a tossup and just didn't play well. All of which most would classify as choking. The years I outlined were summing up the latter. You're going to have to explain how they "choked" in the other years you listed cause aside from 95 & 99 where choking has a valid entry, I just don't see it. A year by year break down would be over kill but just refer to www.richkern.com/vb/NCAA/TourneyGames.asp?VBYear=2005&Sort=school&School=hi&Conf=ae if you want. Nebraska and Penn State for example have been knocked out of the tourney by lesser ranked, lesser touted opponents in years where they were "The" favorites to win the title. Exactly what years were PSU, the "choke banner" holder, expected to win the title that they didn't? Nebr may have been the Pre-season favorite to win it all a few times but we all know what pre-season means. How many times did they enter the tournament as the clear cut favorite to win it all. How many times did they get knocked out of the tournament in a fashion outlined above. Even a Hawai'i basher like you should be able to realize the difference. I really do have a lot of respect for the UH VB programs and coaching staffs. It's a very small handful of their fans that I tend to 'bash'.

WOW, A team is here, Gorf! I'm a team? I think that kind of depends on the USPS zip code regulations.

Those 18 uears have been remarkable in my views. No titles but still remarkable. I am proud of the Wahine for accomplishing what they have in those years. It's nothing for me to sidestep.

I think that kind of depends on the USPS zip code regulations. Is that why I keep receiving (and shredding) (R)uffda!'s mail? << I hope those bills weren't important for him to pay. >>

Those 18-years are relative. They were just ayesterday to a lot of hawaii fans. To Nebraska fans... they were just moments ago.

Boy, sure glad I stopped replying to this thread on page 2... Why did I read the rest!? Damn, wish I had. I hate when I get into stupid arguments and just can't seem to get out of them without the last word. It's just embarrassing. It may be time to just smile and nod. Works most the time in these situations.

I react when people like you point out that UH failed in those years because of no titles Did I say they failed in those years? I said you complain about others leaving things out in their comments yet you do the same thing in your comments. Plus, in your complaining you assume and insinuate things that have not been said. You attack others with your comments while you get very defensive when others make comments that don't agree with yours.
