I agree to some degree on what is being said about gregory and kamanao...I think kamanao is just so used detting a fast middle like prince. Either kari needs faster footspeed or kanoae needs to slow it down when she sets her middles. I must say this though...when kanoe sets the double slide the set that wolfie called beautiful...is a thing of beauty

since nobody seems to be impressed with woolford, shoji should bench her for a couple of matches and let ong or blood loose in the backrow.
can we see cayley set at least a full game again?
i love keefe and gregory.

vbfan4life/wolfgang, really enjoyed the interesting (on site) dialog. any speculation on why amber plays only two (2) games? discouraging to hear that defensive substitutions did'nt improve the passing game... what options does shoji have for improvement in this area? The defensive sub of Duggins for Houston did help, but am not sure about the defensive sub of Woolford for Kaufman. I never really saw Kaufman play in the backrow before so I cannot comment on that. I have not seen the other numerous DS that we have on the team perform, but perhaps Ong might be a better sub than Woolford. I am not sure how Shoji and company can improve the passing game at this late stage in their careers. Perhaps he can have a morning session of practice just dedicated to passing. I know that other posters as well as myself have mentioned bringing in the warriors to serve to the Wahine so they are used to passing some fast pace serves. I disagree with Shoji's comment about how SJSU served tough. With the exception of one of SJSU's setter's serve which floats and then drops rapidly, the other servers weren't too hard. It was kinda like the Wahine serves. A lot of floats/lollipops were given to the Wahine.

Could you imagine if those three were still in the WAC along with NMSU and Nevada, the WAC would've been one strong conference. I am not sure it would be a strong conference, but it would definitely be a good conference. I think it would be as competitive as the WCC, but not the caliber of Pac-10 competition.

I definitely agree with you, vbfan4life. Shoji should try Ong in the backrow as a defender, not just as a server. Maybe Blood, too. I hear she's flawless in the backrow.
