Geeze, when you attach those two pictures, I feel like I need to root for Cow Poly. Alfred rules!

The likeness to Stevenson was uncanny, at least until he decided to dye his hair yellow. What's up with that? (Dude, in case you hadn't noticed, you're 50 years old , for Chrisse sakes.)

A win tonight by Cow Poly would virtually guarentee Poly at least a share of the Big West title. (Especially since they already have wins AT both UCSB and the beachless.) A Graucho win leaves it wide open.
They owned us last meeting, in our house. My guess is that it won't be any prettier tonight. I think the timing of the match makes it even worse. We played Poly in our 1st Big West match. Now we play them again before we have even finished our first rotation whrough the Big West, we have not yet played UOP or CSMOG. Given that I think (or at least hope) that because we had a fairly significant rebuild starting with a frosh setter, it makes every addition match important for this team. I really wish we could have had at least those two addition Big West matches under our belt before we played Poly again. We'll see how far we've come.
The most interesting stat may be blocking. Historically, Poly has blocked us off the floor. The first meeting this year was no exception. It has semed like UCSB has picked up their blocking over th elast few matches, including against the Pepperdine trees. We'll see whether that is fact or fiction.
Go Gauchos!

......They owned us last meeting, in our house.... Actually, as I recall, we had them 28-27 in game 3, before blowing a chance to go up 2 games to 1. I wouldn't exactly say they "owned us". If we hadn't blown a big lead in this game, something like 22-17, the match might have turned out quite differently. Poly is the best team in the Big West and UCSB will have to play a great match to have a chance.

The video lags the KCSB audio by about 1 serve, really weird. UCSB was out early but UCSB has just decided to melt down and allowed 2 aces among other things. 7-8

Well, maybe that was a moral vistory? Our 17-30 loss was 2 points better than our previous 1st game loss to them (15-30). 10 errors by UCSB in game 1. Pretty sad performance. UCSB has got to come prepared to play every game. UCSB is playing scared.

This is just pathetic. Everytime UCSB does actually make a good play like a block, they then have a service error.

Poly wins game 3 27-30
Congrats to Cal Poly. UCSB should be ashamed, not because they lost, but because of how they played, especially in games 1 and 2.

Poly is just too much for any other team in the Big West to handle.

gOSH, You hit that one on the head! A three man block is tough but it leaves a lot of court open...also, have the gauchos never seen a left handed right-side hitter? They gave her about 5 feet of line every time they went up to block...Yikes!
