I gotta ask....who has the first tie-breaker?

That's what I don't know or understand. Lewis has it over Ball State, FW has it over Lewis and BS has it over FW.

I am not sure how the MIVA by-laws are set up to handle the situation, but most conference would use head-to-head comparison between the three teams (total wins) as the first criteria. After that is where conference start to differ.
Right now all three teams are 2-2 against each other. Lewis won both matches against Ball State, Ball State won both matches against IPFW, IPFW won both matches against Lewis.

I think Lewis can win the regular season title if it wins out and Ohio State defeats IPFW on April 10 (gives IPFW four league losses and Lewis holds tie breaker over Ball State). I need to do some more research on possibilities for IPFW, Ball State and Ohio State to win. Right now four teams have three losses, which could muddy the tie-breaking procedues.

Well ... this just got really interesting.
Lewis has OS and Loyola left BS has OS left FW has OS left
Seems like OS is a real key here, or am I wrong?

Lewis match story - www.avca.org/CollegiateDetail.asp?id=2297&catid=6Last paragraph says a lot. If Lewis, IPFW and Ball State each win their remaining MIVA matches, a three-way tie for the MIVA regular season title would exist. In that scenario, IPFW would hold the tiebreaker among the three by virtue of having a better games won record against the other two schools.

That means if IPFW wins at OSU this Saturday, they will most likely win the MIVA title and host the tournament. (IPFW did beat OSU at home 3-1).

Lewis is the hot team...IMO they should get those goofy Hawaii shirts ready to go.

That's right, IPFW holds their own destiny in their own hands. Win out and all is right with the world ;D , lose and well ... no more needs to be said!
