Careful IB - we're kinda partial to our Coach

Well, I'll be forking out the $10 for the web-video, plus maybe listening to the play-by-play on AM-1420. Last (and only) time I paid for WAC-TV, there was no audio!
As for the game, I'm confident that our ladies CAN down the Wahine a 2nd time, even at the SSC, but I'm not confident that they WILL do it. It will all depend on where their heads are. I'm not worried that they'll be overawed by Senior Night at the SSC. I've seen too many inconsistent plays this season. They just have to play 100% all night.
Lastly, the crowd at LCHS was loud, but not an obnoxious football crowd, except when the ref muffed a couple of calls. I personally couldn't hear the baseball team's comments. I know that in the past, Maria Roth, the NMSU Senior Women's Advisor, has had to read them the riot act, but that did not happen during this game.
Go Aggies!

Careful IB - we're kinda partial to our Coach I could do one with me, too, but I'd end up beating BB Mike.

Although I'll swear his belly keeps getting bigger. Probably too many chips watching game films!

Ya know, the crowd really is a non-factor. It will be near sold-out tonight at the Stanley, 10,000 tickets and probably 8500-9000 fans. I'm very eager to see their reactions to this team, not only is this an EXCELLENT scenario for the WAC, its an exciting match for a Hawaii or New Mexico State volleyball fan. This is the type of event that volleyball was MADE for! Besides a few folks chanting "in the net" in encouragement of NMSU botching serves, I'm sure that there will not be the same type of comments as came from the small baseball crowd. No worries, NMSU real fans, most of us know the situation and don't place blame on all of you, however... next time, keep the baseball guys in check.

I'm not jazzed about NMSU at all. I think they have an inflated record and got lucky against the Wahine in Las Cruces. The Wahine can't be happy that they allowed NMSU to break their WAC win streak. Plus Hawai'i is the only top 25 win that the Aggies have, that can't make them happy either (If they know about it). I totally expect the Wahine to kick Aggie ass back to New Mexico. The time for their charade should be over tonight.

The reason you like him is that he is obviously a "student of the game". There's no mention in his bio of him ever PLAYING the game, so he's learned everything by watching, reading and experimenting. He has to have an excellent way of explaining what he wants to his players, 'cause he certainly can't personally demonstrate a proper block or attack, and Mike diving for a dig would be felt on seismometers!

You would think that CSTV would co-op with your local TV station and tape delay this match. It's really not that hard, as NETV does it. I hate having to sit around until tourney time before I can see Hawaii play. (no I don't feel like paying for it) IB and BIK you need to work on that. CSTV doesn't even have to send a crew over there. All they have to do is slap their little logo on the upper right hand part of the screen.

... I think they have an inflated record and got lucky against the Wahine in Las Cruces. ... I totally expect the Wahine to kick Aggie ass back to New Mexico. The time for their charade should be over tonight. Quick Sherman, to the way-back machine. Set it for last season. Watch the Wahine have to go five games against the Aggies, both at NMSU and at the SSC. Now jump to Spring '06, and watch NMSU beat Texas. Were NMSU's pre-season opponents lower quality than Hawai's? Definitely. Although a team (or individual athlete) wants to play opponents that are better than them, because you don't really improve by playing lesser teams, a coach also has to balance playing better teams and losing with building the confidence to win in his own team. NMSU is getting better each season, attracting better players to the team and causing the team practices to get tougher. There's no question that Hawaii's injuries lead to all sorts of "what if" questions, but they are exactly that, pure speculation. Is Hawaii on a downward trend? I don't think so, just that their dominance at the top of the WAC heap is no longer a given. Otherwise, aaronic would not have led off this topic worrying about Hawaii having to play UNR, SJSU and UI in the WAC tournament. I sincerely doubt that Hawaii's players and coaches are treating tonight's game like NMSU is LA Tech.

I'd guess that CSTV could work out a deal with K5. I'd rather you guys not have the luxury of watching though.
