Okay, Hooker may have the best jump serve from any OH I've seen this year. You don't learn to serve like that in just two months - why has Jerritt been wasting that serve all year by subbing her out? Jill Collymore of Washington has a powerful low spinning jump serve... and she's like 5 inches shorter than Hooker! I like to see players that have nice high jumping, hard hitting skills naturally, and not just because they are like 6'4''

I don't want to jump on the texas22 bandwagon, but I do agree that Todd does better with a much higher set on the slide.

i think it is the setter. moriarty was blamed for texas' failures last year. i agree some of her choices are bad, but her hitters just make errors sometimes.

That was a very nice kill from Larson on the right. 24-20 Nebraska.

When Texas played Florida in 2004, Moriarity was awesome. She made everyone around her better. Watching her tonight, she has regressed. She looks awful. She is supposed to be a leader, helping out the younger players. Clearly the weak link on this team, that and their blocking.

My prediction is that Texas comes back in game 3, but then has a big ugly service error down the clutch and gives it away. Hooker service error at Nebraska 25. Engle service error at Nebraska 27. Hmmm... anyone want next week's lotto numbers?

I agree totally, but you said she was unstopable, which is a an offensive distinction. She was awful at that point. Serving great, passing great, defense great, unstoppable, no.

i was never completely sold on the huskers. i never thought they were the #1 team in the country and i was pretty amazed when they were still #1 after that loss to colorado. however, they looked real good tonite. real consistent and relentless. they're the real deal. it should be an exciting tournament. unless the women continue their boring 3-0 sweeps. every single pac 10 marquee matchup was 3-0 and now the huskers dominate the horns. PLEASE, women, SHOW UP for the ncaa tournament!
