Haven't we been through this before? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Other than those who saw her at the NORCECA tournament or last season's CIF championships, and myself, who's actually seen her play? I think whatever VB program she decides to go to will be very lucky to have her. She will make an immediate impact at any program and I can definitely see her as a national team caliber player down the road. I thought she looked real good playing on the Gator court last summer, but I think it's a real long shot that she goes out of state.

BASTA!
Best part about the whole Stanford thing is how they are the last school to announce their recruits. I just love that bit.

Best part about the whole Stanford thing is how they are the last school to announce their recruits. I just love that bit. Since Stanford doesn't sign people who haven't gotten early admission, their recruit announcements have traditionally come on the first day of the early signing period. I've read that Richards was late to make up her mind four years ago, but I believe she did so just before the early signing period started. This year was anomalous. Four of the "Klineman Five", including Stanford, held back the announcement of their entire recruiting class until Alix made her decision. Though Washington did announce a signing slightly before that, I saw it on the Pac-10 Website but not their own. That sounds like a Pac-10 office screwup to me. So where's the beef, Ruffda... and don't say "Austin"!

Don't know what her grades are, as that would be the only hurdle in attending Stanford or Cal. If she doesn't go to either of those, I'd say USC.

Get with the program, Stanford. You know who's going there and you know they'll be admitted. Stop the pretense.

Get with the program, Stanford. You know who's going there and you know they'll be admitted. Stop the pretense. Not everyone that Stanford wants will get in. There are at least two high-profiled former All-Americans who had Stanford as their top choice, but got rejected and instead went to another Pac-10 school. Believe it or not, but academics do play a huge factor in who gets into Stanford and who doesn't for athletes. No one is denying that Stanford does have a recruiting advantage over a majority of the volleyball programs out, but to suggest that Stanford gets who ever they want is just a bit is just being a bit naive.

These kids are getting taller and taller. She's 6-4. Isn't Klineman 6-4 too? I remember when 6-0 was considered tall.
