I am very sorry for your loss as well. I lost one of my dearest friends to this type of cancer (broncheo-alveolar) and an oncology colleague of mine lost her sister to this same non-smoker's cancer! It is a cancer on the rise in the U.S.
For all of you that do smoke "socially": A recent study showed that one cigarette a day increases your risk of lung cancer ten-fold. Don't do it!

BonJoeV,
My condolences to you and your family. Mumsie will truly be missed here on VT. I know she's in a better place now.
When loved ones leave us, we are saddened because we miss them. But we keep a part of them alive inside of us, so I always take time to remember them with fond memories. Hopefully, all of us here on VT can do the same.

Dear BonJoeV, I used to frequent this site under a different name when my daughter was still in college. Mumsie was one of the few I thought gave this medium credibility. I could tell she was real and she cared. We will all share your loss.
Celebrate her life, with the rest of yours.

I wanted to write something eloquent for Mumsie, but I can't seem to find the words. Considering that I never met Mumsie, I really liked her. What a personality! Wish I could better express how sad I am for you and your family.

A good friend was recently diagnosed with the same thing. I'm so sorry for your loss, but happy for you for the years you were able to spend together.

What sad news. I rarely check in on this board anymore since my daughter has graduated, and am stunned to hear about Mumsie. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Very sorry for your loss.
I remember some time back, Mumsie was convinced that I was one of Wolfgang's aliases or vice versa. Still makes me smile.

I agree with the sentiments expressed in your post wholeheartedly.

Dear BonJoeV,
My condolences to you and your family for the loss of the dearest, loved one. Though I have never known Mumsie personally, I've enjoyed reading her posts here. Volleytalk, in a way, has become a community and it is always hard to hear sad news regarding poster(s).

BonJoeV, I also wanted to express my deepest condolences to you and your family. I fondly remember Mumsie through her posts (and still recall her "white gogo boots" poll. ) I also lost a loved one soon after a devastating cancer diagnosis so my heart really goes out to you and your family.
