Murina.....thanks for agreeing with me. You have made my day! ESTRELLA Glad to make your day! ;D But how can the USAV make this happen? So much volleyball in the USA is out of their control. To me it's hard to blame the USAV for everything re: having mediocre national teams.

So if USA volleyball wins it is thanks to the program in place and when they lose it is not the fault of the program. You have deflated my opnion on you. USA volleyball is what it is. They want lots of money from the jrs programs to support the national team but they don't provide ANYTHING in return. Let me correct myself. They only thing they provide is a bunch of HP camps to make more money out of the families so they can have teams that reprsent our country and always get beat (most of the time). ESTRELLA

ESTRELLA I didn't say anything about USAV winning being because of the program. You are whining about all the USAV doesn't provide. I'm trying to get you to spell out what you want from the organization. You said this: This is more or less right, but in the western world this is basically true of every federation. The clubs train the players, the federations pick and choose the best ones for the national teams. The only difference is that everywhere else the fed organizes the club schedule, and they can do so around the international schedule. In the USA, high school and NCAA schedules are organized with no regard to the international schedule. The colleges can't provide players to the USAV in a timely manner to start the season because of school obligations, and they won't provide players to the USAV at the end of the year when their seasons are in full swing. No one is saying the USAV trains high school and college age players, they can't - you won't give them the players to train!!!This is where you are whining. I'm asking you to spell it out what you want the USAV to give you. What does "provide some REAL help via instruction" mean to you? You have used several posts and still haven't proposed anything specific. I think the USAV could do some things to make the national level higher also. I've been specific in the past about what. I've suggested creating a level above "open" level juniors that would basically expand the regional HP to a 4-5 month season. I've suggested that the USAV should be heavy handed and yank the libero in U16 competition and force all "open" divisions to play 1-6 subs. If you're going to blast the USAV (and they do deserve a lot of that) don't just whine and carry on about things that are clearly out of their control! Hit them with things that they CAN do and CAN control but aren't doing so!
