Her numbers where good, the opponents not so much. They do like the marquee players, and Hodge certainly is that.

Some of these Conference and National POW awards make about as much sense as the #5-#25 National Top-25 poll positions.

I thought Foluke or Houghtelling, but really hadn't paid much attention to Hodge this past weekend.

No sign of a Pac-10 weekly release or POW announcement (either on pac-10.org or the Stanford, UCLA, USC, Cal and Washington Web sites), so we've no idea who was put up against Hodge. It's not even hot today in Walnut Creek (Pac-10 HQ)... what's their excuse?

Foluke named Stanford, oops I mean Pac 10, player of the week
From the media release:
Akinradewo, a junior from Plantation, Fla., was named MVP of the Stanford Invitational after Stanford was victorious over St. Mary's, No. 17 Cal Poly, and No. 9 BYU.
For the tournament, Akinradewo hit .547 while collecting 47 kills (4.70 kpg) in 75 attempts with six errors. She recorded double-figure kills in all three matches with a season-best performance of 21 kills in 34 attempts, a season-high of eight blocks, and hit .588 in the win against No. 9 BYU, Stanford's sixth win over a ranked opponent this season.

Dude, you don't get it at all. Nothing wrong with this from my perspective, nor from Ruffda's I suspect. As any BASTAite will say, at least it wasn't someone from Stanford.

Dude? The title is a joke, not sure you should be accusing people of not "getting it at all". Here is the quote from Ruffda, which is also a joke "See? I told you it was PSU's award. Somebody just made a mistake last week." Oh, and here is a quote from you on Hodge winning Big Ten POW "too bad it went to PSU" I'll leave that up to you whether or not that was a joke. I don't answer for other's unlike some other people. I am pretty sure Ruffda can decide for himself what he agrees or doesn't disagree with.

Like I said, you don't get it at all. Hint: the National POW is not the same as the Big Ten POW.
