Murrey played middle in club when she was a 7th grader for Golden Bear 14-1. At that time, she was already taller than Bear Clause. I vaguely recall seeing Tarah Murrey maybe 7-8 years ago as a college VB fan. I didn't know she was going to be a star player; she was just a kid with her mom. I think when she was in the 4th/5th grades I was still taller than she was. |

Is that Keno on the far left of the pic sportin' a Washington pullover? Yes - along with the video camera he set up. That's Mick Haley next to him. I think John Dunning is a little bit out of the picture. Someone told me that the Cal coaches were there the next day. Man was that place a meat locker. It was freezing; notice the kid calling lines while wearing a blanket? I was actually a little bit freaked out. I was standing when Mick Haley walked until he was next to me, without saying anything. I don't think he had any idea who I was, but I was terrified that he might figure out I posted some less than flattering text about him attached to photos I took. He was just getting up and preparing to move on to another court. |

Jose "Keno" Gandara (standing next to Haley) was a former men's VB player and I'd guess he's at least 6'6". |
