I'm a affraid some people are going to say this post is mean...BUT
What are some teams you just don't like?
Mine...
UC Santa Barbara Texas A & M Maryland-Blah Miami (FL) Notre Dame Colorado-Such a cool state, such a crappy team Texas-Maybe I just don't like the state Arkansas Hawaii-Honestly, I never disliked them till this year.
I used to severly dislike Colorado State, Wisconsin and Arizona, but they've grown on me. I'm not quite sure the reasons, but I just really dislike these teams. I root for their demise.

I think my dislike for Hawaii comes from the fans. I think its great that Hawaii has die hard fans. I like rooting for underdogs and I naturally end up disliking the popular teams. Its nothing to do with the players themselves...I guess. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) But actually, I loved watching them play Utah State two years ago in the WAC champsionship final. But, the next time I saw them play I couldn't stand their green uniforms, black socks and Sarah Mason's shoelaces. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Georgia - Wow.. they went out and found an a-hole for a new coach! Also, the players are unjustifiably cocky... FSU - horrible coach and terrible fans UC Santa Barbara - their coach is bad enough that I hate the whole team

In any sport the longtime winning programs are going to generate some dislike, because of jealousy or a tendency to root for the underdog. Also teams with supporters - official (like coaches or players) or unofficial (like fans) - who are seen as overly cocky can produce some hatred for their team! Nothing specific to volleyball just part of being a fan!

Missouri - the way the coaches handled Lindsey Noe's situation is just classless and they always relied on getting players from China
Arizona - Never been a fan of Rubio and I dislike him more after the way he handled Kristina Baum's situation.

I agree with the MIZZU comment. The way the Lindsey Knoll thing went down, from what I understand they gave her a list of schools she could NOT attend is she wanted to transfer. Basically any school in the BIG 10 or 12, and any school ranked in the top 20.
Also the CHINA recruits are too much. The pipeline is great but is being abused. In college tennis they are making a no foreigners rule soon because older "freshman" foreigners are dominating the college circuit and leaving the US players undeveloped. Causing a backlash in American tennis. I think the same would go to Vball.

It’s interesting that Hawai’i fans were mentioned. I’ve had occasion to sit next to them several times and always found them to be good, respectful fans of volleyball, while still rooting for their team. Quite loudly.
I despise Nebraska because of their fans. I respect the players and their coach, who’s an a-hole, of course, but he used to be our a-hole at Wisconsin, so I think I understand him a bit. But I have had a half-dozen experiences with Nebraska fans at Final Fours and Regionals, and they have not been fans of the sport of volleyball. While I completely understand this may not apply to all their fans, I can only judge by what I’ve experienced, which were some truly despicable people.
If Nebraska fans want to start to change my opinion, well, you’ll probably have a chance at the Regional in Madison this year, where I expect Nebraska is headed. One should be able to not only lose with class, but also win with class, and this applies to the players, coaches and fans.

Odie, the absolute only time I have ever heard anyone speak negatively about Nebraska fans, let alone hear them referred to as "despicable people" Also venture to say you don't know John Cook personally. If so you should say "appears" to be an ahole.
