Holy cow!!! All these upsets and weird, strange, unexpected outcomes are really going to mix up the poll!!!

Here's just some rough, off-the-top-of-my-head thoughts.... not much of an in depth fully studied thought(s).: 1 Nebraska (60) 2 Penn State 3 Stanford 4 Southern California (switches with UW) 5 Washington (switches with USC) 6 Texas 7 UCLA (do they move down?) 8 Wisconsin 9 California 10 Florida 11 Hawai'i (do they move down if they lose to NU?) 12 Dayton (move down, but how much?) 13 Minnesota (move down, but how much?) 14 Kansas State (they could stay the same given the fact that Michigan also lost) 15 Michigan (move down, but how much?) 16 San Diego (probably moves up, but do they surpass Hawaii?) 17 Duke (definitely moves up, and doubt they'll be above Hawaii) 18 New Mexico State (moves up, how much.... still below KSU?) 19 Oregon 20 Ohio 21 Colorado State 22 St. John's 23 Oklahoma 24 Cal Poly 25 LSU Others Receiving Votes and appearing on two or more ballots: Louisville 96; Middle Tennessee 81; Sacramento State 78; Pepperdine 39; Wichita State 37; Long Beach State 37; Clemson 34; BYU 29; Missouri State 23; Oregon State 10; UNLV 8; Iowa State 7; Arkansas 5; Miami (OH) 3. I haven't bothered to look below NMSU because let's face i'm not up to looking up the other teams' results. Like I said this is just off the top of my head.... ;D

I'm not going to make an actual call on what it'll literally look like on Monday because I'm really not that good at pronosticating- esp. the AVCA Poll! . But I will ponder this question. Would it be possible, if Hawaii loses today to NU, given all the upsets to teams immediately below them (Hawaii), do you think we could see both San Diego AND NMSU ranked above them? I know this is a little far-fetched but would that even happen? Hawaii moving two spots down to 13, and San Diego moving to 11, with NMSU at 12? HAHA that would be crazy. Would be pretty cool (in a weird way) for the WAC. Even more so the fact that Hawaii could possibly have an even huger (on paper) showdown on (next week) Friday!!! This is IF the Wahine lose... now if they actually win today that'll be a different story. If they did win i'll tell ya' i'll probably fall out of my chair in surprising shock! Seriously!!

Geeze it's late. For everyone in Hawaii did you know that there is a meteor shower going on right now? go look toward the south/south east....
Anyway, it might all depend on how well or how bad Hawaii does today. Either way I don't think it'll affect Hawaii's current standing. I dont really think that San Diego and NMSU will go very far up the rankings because both NMSU and SD almost lost to unranked teams.
Who knows what will happen with the polls....it's the AVCA..."Always Vicious Coaches of America" hehehe ;D ;D

You never know. I would say that the AVCA poll is a poll on crack.... however I usually give that title to Pablo's Poll.

What conference are they in anyway?

I think we will have to await the results of today's matches before we get into this too much.

The UW PSU match will have either no impact or a major impact on Mondays poll. If Wisconsin wins, where does PSU go, and how far up does UW go? I think they should leap frog a couple Pac 10 teams if they do.

If Badgers win convincingly, this is a reasonable result:
1 Nebraska 2 Stanford 3 Washington 4 Penn State 5 Texas 6 Wisconsin 7 UCLA 8 Southern California

OTOH: If the Lions win a tough 5 game match they could stay at #2 with the Badgers still moving up to #6 ala the Pac-10 bootstrapping their own conference teams up higher in the poll.

Can we please give Wisconsin a different nickname?...UW belongs to Washington, and using the same abbreviation for two different schools is far to confusing. lets call Wisconsin WI.... and if Penn State wins the match the polls will look like this Nebraska Penn State Stanford UW Texas USC UCLA California Wisconsin Florida If Wisconsin wins, the poll will look like this Nebraska Stanford UW Penn State Texas Wisconsin USC UCLA California Florida

The Big Ten will take over the entire top 10 spots in the poll. If you turn the list upside down.
