Returning players know that they will have to fight for their spot and it will push everyone to get better . I also heard that BYU is getting some big Cuban guy. I have no facts, just a rumor. Someone from BYU would have to verify it. yeah i forget his name but when i was denver the guys from bamiso stayed across the hall and said he blows victor batista away His name is Cala. I have met him at church once or twice. Looks to be about 6'8". He usually sat in the front row behind the baseline. He's also a quite a pimp, as he was with many different good looking girls. I think I had read on this board that he still has to take his ACT.

Bottom line is... growing up and playing I knew a lot of guys that were on the FAB 50 list that aren't playing in college any more or are on really bad teams and I knew a lot of guys that were not on the list such as myself that are doing well

Every year.....the same The Fab50 list is a wonderful non-bias evaluation of all talent with great consideration to every player in the country---to those that made the list. last time i checked hunter haley didnt play for his high school or club team if any thing he played mb against weaker teams.. very non bias

Regards to the article on Anderson from Eden ....
Great player, I mean no dis to him but the article portrays some myths about Cali....
We do not have 10 and under teams here.....we can barely field 13 and under teams.....
Not all our players can play beach everyday.....many players come from inland areas......
we compete with basketball and baseball for top notch athletes same as everyone else.....
we do NOT get gym time.....we have so many teams in both girls and boys competing for the time in both basketball and volleyball and adult leagues....plus we pay more for gym time....
many players here do not get hooked on vball until high school....i.e.. Dan Alexander(JNT, Riptides gold medal, All tourney team, LBSU recruit) did not play any club ball until his junior year in high school. ....he is a basketball convert....there are others as well.....
Anderson is a great player and well deserving of all honors , but I don't completely buy into the poor, poor east coast thing the article was trying show. Anderson could play and start on any of the west coast club teams he wanted. I wished they had focused more on that. The article could have even chosen to talk about the great Eden program....but they were too busy whining.
