I don't know why we are now debating abortion, but that's what Bill does.
Anyhow, if we're going to go this route, someone probably needs to post the facts about Tiller's practice and the women who went to him. Surprise, surprise. The facts won't support the simplistic portrayal Bill O and others have attempted to hang on this man.
I would also be willing to bet that none of these women were using Tiller's medical services as their method of contraception, certainly not in the context of the late term abortions. I don't know, of course. But I think it's a reasonable assumption. So that discussion is besides the point, too.
On top of that, someone -- and this time I will volunteer -- needs to step up and state the obvious: These are not OUR bodies. Abortion is an emotional, complicated issue. I would guess there are very few people who are actually in favor of the procedure. But it is not OUR body and it is not OUR decision.
I find it remarkable that the same people who defend the right of bozos to own AK-47s are determined to make this choice, about abortion, for women.

From what I understand, a small part of Tiller's practice was performing "post-viability" (after 22 weeks) abortions. Under Kansas law such procedures can only be done when two independent physicians certify that the procedure is medically necessary to save the life or prevent "substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function" of the mother. In Tiller's case he was investigated, and cleared, by a Kansas Grand Jury because the "substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function" claim was usually one of mental, not physical, impairment.

I WAS debating the possible motives the murderer might have used. You provided incite why America is broke. You don't even know what you are debating. Everyone KNOWS what his possible motives are. Heck, we're pretty sure what they were, period. You, however, have been debating that his act was justified. Why do you get into arguments if you don't even know what you are saying?

Tiller was obviously building a WMD or two in the back...they weren't really abortions, that's just how the uranium was smuggled in. At least that's what Bill O. told me.

I'd like to see the response of those that are ok with the murder of Tiller, to a story of someone against the death penalty going around and killing a few prison guards that flipped the switch.
For some reason I feel we would see the same position switching that we have infamously seen on Fox.

The clinic is closing, so I guess the extremist wing of "pro-life" people got their way. Through killing someone. What the hell is wrong with this country?
