I know a lot of us talked it up when Hawaii came to the Pyramid, but we gave them their due after our 2 losses to them. But I havent seen many comments by Wave fans after Hawaii sent them home with thier first lost in league play. After all the perdictions Id like to see someone else eat thier words.

I doubt that many of the Pepp fans were able to go to Hawaii to watch the match...Hawaii came to the pyramid, thousands (i assume) of beach fans saw them play, and could comment on what they saw. I made no predictions and I have no words to eat, tho I was hoping for a Pepp sweep. So Pepp lost one match in the MPSF...Hawaii has lost how many...5? Pepp is still way ahead of all the other teams at this time.

While Hawaii has lost 5 matches, they have also finished playing all the top teams in the league. The only teams they have left to face are Pacific and UCLA, who may be the tough teams they will have to beat, and UCSB, UCSD, and USC. Hawaii's destiny will fall into other teams hands. Pepperdine will have to face every single team at least one more time and BYU has the hard slate by playing UCI, Northridge, and Pepperdine twice.
Pepperdine is still the team to beat. They will likely be the number one seed in the tournament and will likely make it to the Final Four.

This match could be easily listened to online. I tried to listen/watch online. I got no sound, and the video was 2-3 frames/play, very sporadic and choppy. Computer experts out there: I have a mac & OS10 Jaguar...anything i can set to get a better feed? Thanks!

There's nothing lucky about an ass kicking. The Waves were BEATEN last night, Give credit where credit is due. Pepperdine will be the top seed in the MPSF tournament, and will likely be in the National Championship game. They are a very good team, The best I've seen play UH in Hawai'i in a long time, but they are not as invincible as some of the Wave faithful believe, I think the Warriors proved that last night . I'm sure you all know how it turns out in the end , Two rings are better than none .

Hey Barefoot...re: "I'm sure you all know how it turns out in the end, Two rings are better than none." Hey Pineapple Boy, don't count your coconuts before they fall from the tree... It doesn't surprise me one bit that Costas and company played an awesome match. The talent is there, and ANYONE can lose on any given night. I'm sorry I didn't hear the match because it sounded like a real good one. I'm sure that Costas was ticked off about the Wednesday match, and Winters stealing his thunder that night. Congrats to Hawaii, but next time it'll be a war again. It certainly makes for an exciting volleyball viewing by the fans. As far as Hawaii beating Pep in the Final, I'll bet you my California-Hawaiian shirt to yours that Pep will prevail. Is it a bet, Barefoot? I'm still waiting for Bookum to confirm our shirt bet...are you willing to put your shirt where your mouth is?

I don't care too much for Pineapples Crusin, Pineapples are sour, Like a small group of Peppy fans, Yourselves excluded. The Warriors played well last night. Costas played like a man possessed, I don't think he likes to lose. It was a Great Hawai'i team effort, Ching, Zimmet, Thomas, Nordberg, Tuyay all had a good match. You are correct, the Warriors definitely have the talent to compete with anybody in the Country, Last night everything just fell into place. The Waves are the most impressive team I've seen yet this season ( aside from Hawai'i of course ). I was happy with the Warrior victory, but it will definitely be a battle the next time they face off. Keenan, Winters, Rooney are awesome players ( Keenan's step out is deadly ) I 've enjoyed the two matches between the Warriors and Waves, and look forward to a future match between the two best teams in the Country. You already have a " Hawaiian shirt " bet with Bookum. I won't put my Shirt where my mouth is, but I will put a skirt where my mouth is, Hula Skirt that is. Your Hawaiian Shirt for a Ti Leaf Hula skirt, Bet ?

That's it once their team loses they have nothing to say, but when they win they are quick to rub it in their opponents face. Not like some fans that stick behind their team regardless they win or lose.

Hello all, Back from Hawaii !!! The games were all great ( except for game 4 last night ) The local paper said it best , they (Pepperdine ) looked exhausted. No excuses from anyone though. On Wednesday Pepperdine played their game and on Friday Hawaii seemed to be wanting the win more. One thing I took away from the games was that Costas Theocharidis has very little class on the court ( I see why he isn't team captain ). During the match he would make gestures after good hits and one ( uncalled for pelvic thrust ) showed me how classless he is. If this is how he always is , then Wilton should be ashamed to allow this to happen. These were really well played matches both nights and it really pisses me off that the biggest thing I remember is someones uncalled for antics on the court . During the match I let the Hawaii team know how I felt and I apologize for lowering myself to their standards.

Will you be there at the Pyramid for the Finals? Let's hope that both Teams make it to the finals. I won't be at the Pyramid, but I'll be celebrating The Warriors victory in Hawai'i . Too bad you're not going to get a chance to wear Bookum's shirt or the Hula skirt. I've been told I look good in red, What color is that shirt of yours Crusin ? I hope you enjoyed your stay in the Islands Mvdad, You guys have an awesome team.
