This comes as no surprise to anyone, but I like Long Beach. I was at the baseball game against SDSU and was surprised to hear the scores. I heard the blocking is better and the error ratio is down. A much improved team which will have a shot at the MPSF tournament.
(Before any Fan from other universities gets to ragging on this statement, I said a shot, not a win. I was thinking more of a chance to get the at-large bid. The MPSF pairings will be interesting. Maybe Mr. Al Scates and his team will get a chance to knock The Beach out.)

sorry Peppfan, misread the schedules! My mistake. From the looks of Pepperdine's schedule the rest of the season, they have a favorable one. Certainly puts them in the driver's seat to get the #1 seed in the MPSF tournament. Good for Long Beach because it means we don't travel to Hawaii or Provo. Pepperdine will almost be like a home court advantage for us!
