Here is my beef with this tournament: Iowa State - should have been a top 4 instead of FSU with wins over Nebraska and Texas. Michigan State - finishes tied for last in the Big Ten conference. Losers of 7 out of their last 8 matches - terrible selection Northwestern - screwed after going 16-16, finishing 6th in Big Ten with 7 conference wins. in my mind, i had Wash and Iowa St as the 4/5 seeds (order doesn't matter). let them duke it out for the final spot in the final four. washington's 6 seed is essentially the 3 seed ... imo....

Big advantage for Stanford - hosting both first/second round and the regional final. With this in mind, I want a re-match between Stanford and Hawaii.
A possible rematch between Washington and Oregon? Oh yeah.

Well, Florida beat 2 of the top 4 seeds, so no reason they can't beat a 3rd. Ok, reality is setting in now, haha. If they even get to face Penn State. Yikes.

Uh oh, Hawaii a 12 seed. The folks on the islands won't be happy actually i expected it... i figured Hawaii's seed would correlate to fit in the Stanford regional (for travel reasons). I was thinking it'd be 11 or 14 to correlate with Stanford being a 3 seed. But since Florida St got thrown into the wrinkle, and Stanford got shifted down to the 4 seed .... ... well, the 12 seed for Hawaii sounds about right. As a Stanford fan, I'm pretty happy with this draw. Yes maybe they should've been #3 instead of FSU but clearly they don't want the possibility of another Stanford-PSU final. and no offense but I'd rather Stanford face HI or Illinois than Washington again - I'd really like to see that Stan-HI matchup. Heh heh FSU and Illinois getting no respect on this board.. will be interesting to see how far they get.

Bye bye Hawaii. USC will get you this time i guess if you have to keep saying it year in and year out ... one of these years, it's bound to be true... not this year though ... keep trying again next year... While I think USC is better than last year, and as of late starting to gel, Hawaii should feel very comfortable playing at Galen and have confidence based upon last year's performance. So this is not necessarily a bad draw. Additionally, they have lots of fans in the LA area who will show up and give Jupiter the business.

Stanford has a tough road ahead. I just hope they won't be exhausted.

Minnesota will not make it out of the Knoxville sub-regional and back home to their own Regional. Weird that Ohio State gets to host sub-regional. Oh, OK. Got it.

FASCISTS! Where's the legitimacy in spreading out Pac-10 and Big 10 schools in three regionals and concentrating the trifecta of Big 12 schools in one? The Omaha regional will probably end up with Texas, ISU, NU, and A&M winning their first and second rounds, resulting in something that looks like a mere conference championship ... LAME! I really wanted to see the Big 12 kick some out-of-conference booty, but our only chance of this occurring before the semifinals would mean a Baylor win against UCLA in the second round (assuming both Baylor and UCLA win their first matches) in the Florida regional.

(if we get there, of course). no disrespect to FSU at all -- i expected that they'd be seeded ... but at 3??
