I was thinking the same thing...their schedule isn't impressive at all so why is their RPI so high? the only top teams they've played is Florida and Illinois They beat teams that won a lot of matches in their (mostly weaker) conferences.

Oregon beats Washington, finishes 6th in the pac, was swept twice by USC which finishes 5th in the pac, and also beat Washington, but Oregon gets a seed and an easier path .. I dont get it,

Cal, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii are the seeds not hosting. Ohio State, Tennessee, Kentucky, CSU and USC are hosting instead.

Hmmm, despite Washington being seeded 6, I think it definitely lies in their hands to get to the final 4...they dont have a ton in their way. ..other than having to beat Minnesota on Minnesota's home floor. (Although that's assuming MN gets by Louisville and the bad-history-laden Tennessee.)

Uh oh, Hawaii a 12 seed. The folks on the islands won't be happy actually i expected it... i figured Hawaii's seed would correlate to fit in the Stanford regional (for travel reasons). I was thinking it'd be 11 or 14 to correlate with Stanford being a 3 seed. But since Florida St got thrown into the wrinkle, and Stanford got shifted down to the 4 seed .... ... well, the 12 seed for Hawaii sounds about right.

Why is Minny the only team hosting a regional who isn't hosting 1st and 2nd round matches?

Bye bye Hawaii. USC will get you this time i guess if you have to keep saying it year in and year out ... one of these years, it's bound to be true... not this year though ... keep trying again next year...

The pressure is as much on Washington as if they had been given a top seed. I think Florida State's seed is more of a formality and they have nothing to lose.

Florida St. should get that far, but if I'm Oregon I wouldn't look past Kentucky.

The Congress needs to investigate the NCAA Selection Committee the same way they're investigating the BCS. Talk about deeply flawed.

Hawaii totally got robbed. Thats completely ridiculous!!!!! It's not the 12 seed that bothers me for Hawaii -- that i kinda expected. But that subregional (where ever it is ... where the hell is it??) ... is insane. But bring it on! ... locker room fodder, i say!

Minnesota will not make it out of the Knoxville sub-regional and back home to their own Regional.
Weird that Ohio State gets to host sub-regional.

Florida St. should get that far, but if I'm Oregon I wouldn't look past Kentucky. Kentucky better not look past Michigan State either. That could be a really good match.
