I think Nebraska will continue to run a 6-2 next year. If I remember correctly, Morgan was recruited because she is also a setter. She will play all six rotations with Lauren subbing in. We will have to see. Let's get through this year first. Yeah. I heard she was a setter/hitter familiar with the 6-2 offense. However - who would Nebraska have to play in place of Cook in the front row?

I've heard that in England, most setters are only 24-25 inches in height.

Yeah. I heard she was a setter/hitter familiar with the 6-2 offense. However - who would Nebraska have to play in place of Cook in the front row? Why not Broekhuis? Then who's the other setter? The plan could be to have Broekhuis and Cook play opposite each other. Broekhuis sets in the back row and hits/blocks in the front row. Cook sets in the back row and gets a sub when her rotation moves up to the front tow. I guess Broekhuis could sub for Cook, but it would defeat the purpose of having her as a 6-2 setter/hitter.

They may try it but it probably depends on how much her back row play improves in the off season.

I think Broekhuis could also be a potent option hitting the D set. For this to occur, Cook would most likely need to be setting as a front row player.

How good is Taylor Simpson that is going to Nebraska next year? They could have Gina Mancuso or Simpson play front row for Lauren if Coach Cook really thinks the 6-2 is the best offense.

you're also assuming that morgan, at 6'5", would be a good enough setter to warrant that move. I think that's doubtful considering that she hasn't exactly been setting this year. situationally it could make sense, but i dunno about full time. who knows though

She's listed as a setter/hitter in her USAVB bio. It wouldn't surprise me if she hasn't done some of that in practice. Heck - I remember one year Cal was short a backup setter when one player left the team around the beginning of the season. The rumor I heard was that in practice one of the starting middles was taking a lot of reps at setter to serve as the emergency backup.

a setters height is only marginally important. Ole Miss' Amanda Philpot is listed at 5'8" and she pulled off 2 triple doubles this year, received SEC Offensive Player of the Week and also blocks very well. Height isnt a measure of heart or talent
