Stanford athletes must quarantine for 10 days before practice. Not sure if all members are at Stanford or not. So no practice this week

The men’s team was practicing in Austin, Texas this week according to a couple of the players social media. I wonder what that means for where the woman will have to practice.
I’m stoked to see what Xu and Baird can do. I’ve watched Xu a ton during her club days and was always impressed with her location. We’ll see how her game transpires into the college game. I don’t know much about Baird other than a lot of big schools recruited her. Is she the X factor this season?

We never saw Baird in action, she was ranked higher than Kipp coming in but can’t really rely on that

We’ve seen what most of the projected starting lineup can bring. Besides obviously the Freshman, Baird and Xu. Assuming the lineup looks like this .. OH - McClure OH - Baird OPP - Kipp MB - Campbell MB - Vacini/L. Smith S - Xu LIB - Ogilvie We’re going to need another formidable option to keep teams from loading up on Kipp. I know she’s use to being set everywhere on the court but that’s not gonna work in the PAC or tournament. I hope we pass well enough to see more production out of middles as well.

I think Vicini makes most sense right now for the second middle spot, and in HS/club she’s pretty good in front of the setter. Xu’s back sets are $$$ so I like that for Kipp lol. I’m also interested to see if Baird or Kipp plays 6 rotations, I would personally like to see Kipp play all around for some back row attacks. That being said, I do think the middle production from Campbell and whoever accompanies her needs to be good.

Do we know the severity of the knee injury to L.Smith? She's a better blocker than McKenna.

It did me, watching her a few times in club, she has good lateral movement, long arms, and jumps well. Her offense was getting better but she was a solid blocker. The injury could come into play with her lateral movement. Of course I'm sure Kevin will work on her technique.
