Cawa making the Under Armour All American game makes me feel a little better about our back court in the future. Hopefully she turns out to be a stud. I’m assuming she’ll be the starting libero in 2025 once Oglivie is gone? Anna Pringle maybe? hopefully she doesn’t pull a Formico… I've heard the '25 libero we are getting is really good. She plays OH most of the time so she gets overshadowed being only 5'8.

Can anyone who saw the UA match comment on Cawa? From the brief part I saw, she at least looked quick (maybe?).

Can anyone who saw the UA match comment on Cawa? From the brief part I saw, she at least looked quick (maybe?). Solid match for Cawa as she alternated L and DS with Lola Schumacher, a Wisconsin recruit, for team Fire. I thought her passing was the best part of her game, but she also made a couple of impressive digs. She actually plays somewhat similar to Oglivie but with more energy. My best guess is she's going to be Stanford's DS1 (subbing in for Harvey) in 2024. She could replace Oglivie in 2025 as the Card's L although there are rumors of another recruit who might fill that roll. Cawa is certainly a good insurance policy.

Cawa has a aggressive serve. passes well ... also made some really great defense especially in Right Back. her second ball out of system setting was really solid . I thought she played a great game.

I thought Cawa did better than Schumacher in this match, both passing and defending. Schumacher though was Choboy-like, lots of fire and personality on court. Cawa will probably start as a DS from D1, looks like she also got a nasty serve.

Was Schumacher the recruit Hambly offered a full ride too?

It was Kristen Simon from KIVA according to some people. She didn't want to wait for the admissions process.

It was Kristen Simon from KIVA according to some people. She didn't want to wait for the admissions process. maybe she knew she didn’t have the grades? Eh, good luck to her. From the few clips I seen online Cawa looks a lot more aggressive on defense then any of our current players besides Rubin.

How does Stanford look for 2024? Always a great program. Oglivie, Rubin, Cawa and Pringle should keep our back court steady. Question mark is how steady our other OH will be on serve receive + offense. Queen Miner is back which means we will be fine with setting duties + having Yu will help. We are still thin in the middle with injury prone Francis + two incoming freshmen who have yet to prove themselves. However, I’m confident L. Andrew will come in and be impactful. Harvey seems to be the lock at OPP, but who takes the second OH spot? Blyashov or Kurt? Should be an interesting battle and I’m sure (or hopeful at least) that Hambly plays with the line up.
