Wow, I thought she was already committed to Stanford. Stanford used to get all the best athletes. I still cannot believe some of these top 10 athletes are willing to ride the bench at Texas and Nebraska. Money talks NIL is the way to go now Stanford will still be a top program, but we will no longer be winning against Texas/Nebraska anymore. I just hope we don’t get swept if we do play them lol

Texas, Nebraska, and Wisconsin are so loaded that we'll have little chance of beating them in the NCAA Tournament. Florida and Pitt also look better IMO. Going forward, 2025 through 2027, we're likely to be in the #6 to #12 range with little chance of winning the NCAA Tournament.

So much to be proud of over all throughout the years. ❤️ So many good players that have come through this program. Winning days are over, but it was fun while it lasted.

Yeah I didn't factor that in. You're right. I'm trying to forget about the COVID years lol.
Still going to be one of my favorite teams going forward. I'll always like the Stanford program thanks to Logan Tom and many others.

I hope the team stays together and adds a middle like Maggie who is a great player, student and person.
Let's see what 2024 holds for Stanford. I think the team will do very well.

Yeah, pretty obvious it was going to happen -- all those visits to Texas were for a reason. Stanford is losing the battle to Texas, Wisconsin, and Nebraska for top recruits due to NIL and we can't portal in players when we have holes to fill. I also think coaching has something to do with it. JE can show a list of middles who left his program and made the national team. Stanford on the other hand is pin dominated. I am sure that has something to do with both Ames and Harvey switching/choosing Texas.

I agree that 2023 was Stanford's last chance to excel at volleyball. There aren't any top players on the team and the coaching is terrible. All of Stanford's best possible recruits will be going to Texas, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and the other programs in which they will learn nothing in four years of play. Stanford should just drop women's volleyball as a competitive sport.
