If it is Sayer as many of us believe she is on scholarship The MBer commit is certainly on scholarship per chalk talks

I’m hoping Hambly can develop Duncan the way he did Alade. She certainly has the potential (Being Duncan’s daughter doesn’t hurt)

Duncan was named all state in Texas for private schools. No clue on the competition

Let's just say it oozed both raw speed and athleticism (from her, not her teammates). Not seeing that out of Duncan so far.

Do we need backups on the bench, sure, but she doesn't look elite. Not pursuing Zoe Gillen-Malveaux harder and losing her to Duke seems pretty foolish in retrospect. One can only hope she'll consider changing her commitment like Kalissa Greene. Wonder if Hambly felt too complacent that he would land Harvey. Anyway, Stanford volleyball will continue to be a good program but apart from athletes who really prioritize academics, I don't see them being able to beat out the very best programs for top recruits at the current rate. The days of getting frequent #1 recruiting classes and consistently competing for national championships are over. Since we'll never be able to exploit the transfer portal like other programs, I think Stanford may need to recalibrate their recruiting strategy by casting a wider net and aiming for more recruits in the #25-75 ranking range and try to develop them, so we don't end up with unfilled scholarships and a thin bench.

She has a fire, that I like. Whip of an arm and is quick. Not the biggest leaper. She will have more of an impact than Vicini.

I liked Zoe Gillen-Malveaux as she looked very athletic in her videos. I don't know if she ever applied to Stanford so flipping her seems very unlikely. Stanford certainly has the potential to make adjustments in NIL funding but is the leadership in place to push for that? As for carve-outs for portal athletes that's for the Trustees and Administration to decide. I concur, Stanford winning championships and competing at the highest level under their current recruiting standards looks daunting.

Gutted and sad for Harvey. I remember mentioning her name many years ago about her potential and how she is going to be next Stanford great MB. Shame that one of Singletary/Ames/Harvey will be in the bench. That is an amazing group of MBs.
I still think that Parks-Demaria-Sayer-Libero is still a very good class. But yes, gone are the days where we would compete in the top recruiting class. NIL > Stanford degree. You just can’t compete with Texas, Nebraska in terms of recruitment.
Sayer isn’t in Harvey’s level but she is going to be very good. I like her quickness and athleticism.
Go Card!

Texas MB eligibility wise is : 23- Singletary (redshirted year before) 24- Ames and Bunton (redshirted year before) 25- Harvey
