SMU did it on their home floor barely, but they were woman handled @ Pitt. PSU also was woman handled @ Pitt. I'd be more than ecstatic if go 1-1 vs SMU/Pitt.

I feel like Stanford needs someone, on court, to step up and be a true leader. Haven't seen that since 2019.

i think its time for kevin to step in more. a while back, he said he likes the players to lead the huddle and discuss whats working well or not, but im wondering if they need an outside perspective who can see things they cant other than that, rubin seems like she's trying but her frustration might come off the wrong way with her teammates (ofc i dont know the players individually so maybe she is just what they need)

I sit 7-8 feet away from the huddle. Rubin is very vocal. Why would she be frustrated? Strange Kevin talks and listens to the coaches then addresses the team

Who are the team captain's? Doesn't seem like there is one. Stanford needs a captain who can fire up the team. I'm just not getting that vibe.

I recall seeing a youtube vid, quite a while ago, of Rubin being interviewed after a match (high school?), where she said she thinks she's a natural leader and isn't opposed to getting on her teammates to be better. This is NOT verbatim, mind you. But the jist of her statement speaks to how she is now.
I don't mind if she were to show some level of frustration, this season. Someone has to step up and the other players have to be made accountable. She wants to win.

GOOD! She stayed aggressive all night and held it together in the back! So happy! She was overdue for a stellar performance :’)

I'm not being snarky. I'd really like to know how you determine that someone is a true leader.
