Maybe it's the old gym record vs new gym record? Not sure off the top of my head.

based on the committee reveal we’d likely play Purdue in the sweet 16, who put up way more of a fight against Nebraska at home. I think we match up well with purdue if we spread colvin’s block and get toughish serves IN. We’d then have a rematch with Louisville at home in the elite eight. If Luper doesn’t have another NPOY showing we have a chance. Our hitters really need to avoid Scott though is the committee reveal the official that will be used for the championship or is it more of a check of where teams are currently? No, it’s just a temperature check of where teams are at currently in the committee’s minds. It doesn’t normally deviate from AVCA rankings too much, but it usually elicits controversy for the top 4 seeds at least since I’ve watched. It also provides insight into what the committee is valuing for rankings. Avid detailed it better on twitter but it seems like this year they’re valuing top 10/25 wins the most, which is the controversy of Pitt vs Nebraska #1. In 2022 many believed San Diego should have been given the 4 seed and Stanford the 5 seed but the reverse happened causing Stanford to host the regional final

Maples was remodeled 2004. Instead of bleacher seats down low the present theater type seats were installed. Capacity decreased about 350

At least one of the Stanford posts I saw said it was a record for the "Kevin Hambly era" of Stanford WVB.

Anyone think Hambly is interested in Karch's soon-to-be "old" job?

Anyone think Hambly is interested in Karch's soon-to-be "old" job? No, he can stay in Palo Alto. We don't need him in Anaheim 😌

At this point in the season does it make more sense to redshirt Blyashov and save a year of eligibility? Not sure how much of a difference she'll be able to make this season- I think our ceiling is probably Elite 8 with or without her. Considering she hasn't played competitively in 2 months, it's not a given that she would beat out Kurt now, who's been playing better recently (and they were already fairly close in level before the season). Of course, it will depend on her wishes.
