People love to pick on Plummer’s pass game. She’s a really good passer. Then why doesn't she pass 6 rotations? And when she does pass, why is she squeezed?

And if she is as bad as you say/imply, why were her passing numbers similar to players who arent described as “spotty” or a “liability”

I see Kipp playing MH or RS next year. She will get her shot on the outside but no person with an actual volleyball IQ would replace a solid 6 rotation OH just so a freshman can get “experience” after a 2020 “drop off” lol that makes no sense.

With all this talk..... wouldn't it kinda be funny though if Stanford loses in the tourney.... I mean, it kinda would be. Clearly they're loaded. No way Kipp rides the bench. Likely a 1st team all American next year. She is a diamond. 1st team All American?

If the rumor is true about Gates playing her 4th season with Stanford, that is really good news. Stanford gets richer it’s just insane.
I’ve always felt like Gates would have been a Stanford recruit if she wasn’t on the same class as Plummer and co.

Tried searching Gates’ name on Stanford’s student portal. She is indeed an incoming graduate student (statistics).

If so would be very interested. The idea that Hambly is resting a better passer to save her for hitting is no offense laughable.

I never said Plummer was better than Formico, Hentz, or McClure. The way you describe Plummer’s passing and frankly your vendetta to defend your position or “correctness” for a so-called fan is quite off-putting given that Plummer is a solid passer.

Any news about spring scrimmages? Today is Stanford's big spring "Cardinalpalooza" sports festival.

And, would she get enough looks (kill attempts) to even be considered with Plummer in Stanford's lineup. Talent level/potential I can see the possibility.

Even though I Quite disagree with the poster you quoted here a substantial amount of the time (say 1/3), I find No "vendetta" here. Considering comments on the USNWT thread, the one and only person with vendettas, seemingly, is looking back in your mirror. Considering the - dare I say - crazy speculations Constantly coming from said person reflected in that mirror; combined with discounting - not to mention dissing - a) info from a poster with connections inside the AD; b) looking at the roster, recruiting/transferwise, as some insane jigsaw puzzle ('make Kipp OH1' (over the 2-time reigning NPOY): like this is some nutty video game!). Thank God Hambly is coach.

Truthfully, I can't see why Hambly would replace McClure with Kipp for this season. Like we've all said, McClure is the second best passer, easily could be the best passer on any other team in the nation, but there's Hentz., Also, she grew soooo much this past season in terms of her offense. 217 kills to 320 kills ?!?! Or what's more impressive is .216 to a .270 hitting percentage?!?! Her ceiling is only going to get higher but not with sitting a year to feed into a freshman. But with that being said, kipp going head to head against the A team of stanford, Plummer, Fitzmorris, Hentz, and McClure in the practice gym will already do her so much good, because she'll go from playing the best team in the nation everyday to alright, good teams. I say to redshirt her and let her grow and then let her and McClure go ham when the Inkets leave the farm. I think the lineup for 2020 already looks strong enough to make a final four appearance just with Kipp, McClure, Fidelak, Campbell and Formico. I think that's how she'd receive first team all american honors in her debut is that.

I think that's how she'd receive first team all american honors in her debut is that. This is not binary decision -- Kevin can play both depending upon opponents (assuming you are talking about playing Kipp as LS hitter). And your logic is flawed concerning 2020 versus 2019. I'll take as close as you can get to a lock in 2019 deploying Kipp. Winning NCAA championships is hard enough without tempting fate by not using your best possible lineup. I see posters coming into this thread (or should I say posers) who say "redshirt Kipp". I'm thinking they might be RED fans who know Stanford is pretty much unbeatable with Kipp in their 2019 lineup.
