I think Hugh needs to stay out of the Collegiate coaching scene. It will do him no justice as a great national team coach

Hey, no sweat. Where do I sign up? I'm clearly too well educated for this job. No mention of salary range, but I assume that is negotiable to a degree. At least the cost of living is pretty low in Minnesota.

Bill, I don't know where you are finding your history. 1) Minnesota has always had good attendance, even prior to Mike. 400? No way. 2) Minnesota was never "lower Big 10" in volleyball.

Scott Who ? That is what the 6'5 '' outside hitter from Louisiana is gonna say. I've been around enough people that have been around the game for a long time. One tournament I was sitting talking to them and I saw some of the big name coaches walk by and the "volleyballers" had no clue who they were, even after I mentioned their names... The coaches that walked by... Banachowski, Rose, Hebert, and Haley.... If you only name chase, that doesn't guarantee a great player, just a big paycheck...

was it one of the mentioned names? Yes, coach has been mentioned on this thread as a candidate. That's either Hugh or Christy. If it's Christy, then next in line would be Carlston.

was it one of the mentioned names? Yes, coach has been mentioned on this thread as a candidate. Why not just say who and, if you know, why? Is this supposed to be a secret?

Yes, coach has been mentioned on this thread as a candidate. Why not just say who and, if you know, why? Is this supposed to be a secret? That's where the fun comes in. There's a certain point where that fun becomes annoying and someone should just cough it up, but we're not there yet.

As I have said before.. RECRUITING is the hardest to do.
Having a proven pipeline of Junior and well coached players wanting to play for you later is the ticket.
Then wining at a high level for YEARS is next.
OUR RUSSIAN FRIEND has been there and done that more than anyone available.
It's only about the money for him to agree to come here.
My computer has special powers.
Thanks to ..
GORF.

The search is likely to broaden just a bit based on the 1st candidate turning the position down. I'm sure there are a couple of people who will have their cell phones glued to their hands Monday.
