Oh, but a male coach of her caliber would surely be making 25% more. Right, mango?

I've always wondered what the coaches make and found this article in todays paper. Had to go to the official site to find jmac. JMac $288,061 That's only the money the state pays him. I'm pretty sure he has other income sources too, like his volleyball camp.

The funny part is that it doesn't include the car, golf memberships, speaking engagements, and etc.

Again, I'm fairly positive

Coaches have an annual salary survey, so they have an idea of whAt their conferences pay, what other top coaches make, so they can negotiate contracts with their admin. The problem is some schools report what they're paid plus camps, plus bonuses. Coaches are frustrated because the numbers are deceiving. There are only a handful or so over 200k base and not by much. A couple are making well over that in base. I know several top coaches whose camp money is greater or as great as their salary. Again, I don't believe the figure for jmac and Mary is the base their schools are paying them, they are reporting other aincome (bonus, camp, radio etc) coaches talk quite a bit with each other, they love it when someone gets a raise. Jmac and Mary are more than worth what they are paid.

Can't answer for Mary, but that's his base. He makes (and pays his assistants some portion of it) about the same in camps every year. It also doesn't reflect his car, speaking and apparel contracts which are above and beyond that.

It is only money paid by the state. The camps may be part of his state pay, I don't know.
