IMO Lloyd is a much better setter than Glass at the moment. Watched some of Sopot matches and I am not impressed with Glass' setting at all. Glass and Kozuch are two weak points for Sopot.

Not gonna happen. I wouldn't even consider Lloyd fourth in line behind Berg, Spicer, & Glass. May I ask who you think are the setters ahead of Lloyd? Kehoe for one. I just don't get the hype on Lloyd. I didn't get it when she was at Cal, & I still don't know. She's athletic, but an Olympic setter, no way.

I haven't had a chance to see much of Lloyd this year. What I saw at the pan am games was fantastic and I was very excited by her location and outstanding blocking. Her connection with Barboza was fantastic. Both players we're very solid together and never looked better. Regarding Glass, she has been okay, but hasn't set anything spectacular with Sopat. Passing has been a huge issue for that team, so i don't know we can really judge Glass 100%. IMO, I'd normally think changing a setter at this stage of the game would be pointless, however it'd be stupid for Hugh to overlook what Llyod continues to do.

No, because if you had you'd understand what the "hype" is all about. Lloyd just led her team to the Italian Cup championship and birth to the 2013 Champions League. Her team is undefeated and leading the standings in the Italian League and she is scoring consistently 5 points a match from the setting position. You couldn't ask for a better rookie season from a setter at this level. I echo vball20's sentiments. From what I've seen from Glass at Sopot I haven't been all that impressed either. Granted she's not working with stellar service reception but she hasn't done anything noteworthy. Glass fans will probably go on and on about her 2010 performance, but we're almost two years removed from that performance. Spicer is playing a backup role at Rabita so it's tough to really gauge where she's at. Kehoe isn't worth mentioning and she has had no meaningful affiliation with the program.

And Glass is wearing a skirt when she plays for crying out loud! Everyone on that team should be disqualified for national team duty for a season just to make sure no more executive types ever think this is a good idea!

Agree with USA, and Murina hit it on the so'spot. Those skorts are ridiculous. They may be the reason why the team can't pass.

It's really a shame that Spicer is on a team where she is a backup. She needs to be gaining match experience if she wants to have any chance of making the team. There are plenty of teams in the Italian league who could use a better setter.

blogdobrunovoloch.blogosfera.uol.com.br/?s=osascoYet another player acting immature. Why do players think calling out their teammates on twitter/facebook is ok? How do they go to the gym the next day and expect things to improve after they blast their teammate online? Disappointing. Lesson learned. Thaisa has sorted things out with Karine and has given up using twitter account. Around the same time, Hooker posted that she is thinking about deleting her twitter ;D

She's turned her current account into a professional account for score updates, schedule updates, stats, etc. Nothing personal will be shared (allegedly).

Hooker has. She's turned her current account into a professional account for score updates, schedule updates, stats, etc. Nothing personal will be shared (allegedly). For her sake, I hope she can follow through with it. Earlier it was Hooker whom the club asked to delete club-related info shared in twitter. Recently, it's Thaisa's turn. Osasco currently has a disappointing standing in the Superliga (relative to their investment this season). A bit more prudence on the part of the players in the use of social networking sites would be wise.
