Interesting! Any particular clubs that might be looking to acquire Hodge or Glass?

Hodge regretting declining Cortese's offer to extend? I'm thinking, yup.

Obviously don't know the whole story, but Berg will be the starter in London so you'd think Hodge would want train with her. Huge advantage lost... Besides the Polish league is weak.

I'm pretty sure Hodge went to Sopot for the $$$$, and no one really foresaw the economic problems (they were known to have one of the deepest-pocketed and enthusiastic sponsors). While it would have been good to play with Berg, that advantage is offset by her being able to actually work on reception at Sopot, which I would say is a much bigger factor in Larson being in front of her than the connection with Berg.

Interesting! Any particular clubs that might be looking to acquire Hodge or Glass? No news yet if any teams are interested. IF they leave, my guess would be to Turkey (Eczasibasi needs a better setter) or Azerbaijan (no foreign limit and no transfer cutoff). Transferring would be tricky though. If top (Champions League-type) teams should sign them, it would only be for local league play. Having played for Atom Sopot already, they would be disqualified from playing in the CEV tournament for a different team within the same year. Prospective teams may find them expensive this way. Why she didn't want to stay and work with Berg is beyond me. Agree with c4ndlelight that a major consideration could have been money. Atom Sopot supposedly offered her around 660k zloty (200k USD). Problem is that Atom Sopot offered big contracts to too many players...

Currently, Sopot only has 12 players on their roster, including three setters and two liberi. No wonder they're trying to use Glass as outside hitter in the last match.

Atom Sopot's captain, Polish veteran Dorota Swieniewicz, has terminated her contract with Atom and has decided to retire from volleyball immediately rather than at end of the season.

I want to see this! Glass didn't play. It was more of, had someone from the hitters gone down to injury, they might have used her as backup (since she was hitting in warm-ups).

Within the next couple of weeks, foreign players will make a decision about their future with the club. Those who will stay would probably be doing so for a lot less money. If ANY! It looks like Hodge and Glass will stay in Atom Sopot so they will at least be playing volleyball in club heading into Olympic summer.
