Why do we think Logan isn't playing? Ze Roberto can't still be "resting" her. It's a puzzle even for a lot of Turkish fans I've talked to. In an interview, one of her Turkish teammates said that Tom has looked amazing in practice. But I guess, team has been playing very well even before Tom arrived (she joined the team about a month late) and they're on a roll, there hasn't been any real need to change the lineup. Update: Apparently Ze Roberto is still resting her (according to a french fan who asked Ze about it after the match) since she just arrived.

Klineman would definitely have a shot, she'd probably battling this year's senior class like Alex Jupiter and Tarah Murrey in that next tier. Alex is a French citizen...

It only takes 5 years of residency to apply for US citizenship and the US has dual citizenship with EU countries. I'd be surprised if she didn't hold a US passport by now.

Alex is a French citizen... For purposes of FIVB volleyball, she is a U.S. citizen. She has played for the USA National Team starting in 2004. If she wanted to play for France she would have to sit out 2 full seasons of national team competition.

She just got here around 2004 so I find it highly suspect she was immediately naturalized and cleared to play (she does not have American parents). I think she barely spoke English then too.

I am mistaken. I was thinking AlIx, not AlEx. My bad!

Klineman is hitting the ball harder than I've ever seen her.

Kazan is kicking butt. A. Glass gets subbed out in the second.

Kazan is kicking butt. A. Glass gets subbed out in the second. Atom Trefl Sopot's passing leaves a lot to be desired.
