Klineman was top scorer for the match. In my book, she actually had 3 aces (in a row no less!). Just because somebody else touched it..... doesn't make it any less an ace in my book. It was uncontrollable. She really is developing a very strong serve that causes folks fits. Almost makes me wonder if she could find a spot on the team for that reason alone. How many times did we see Barboza play in a tournament only to play that one rotation where she served? Klineman's is better.

But her passing is still weak for this level.

I wish the NCAA would demand a new ball from Molten, or perhaps even change to Mikasa when the Molten contract expires (though I know it'll never happen).

Kazan is kicking butt. A. Glass gets subbed out in the second. Atom Trefl Sopot's passing leaves a lot to be desired. With Hodge and Ozsoy as OHs, that will happen a lot this season.

Is that Pesaro's first win in the Italian League?
Klineman is still 22, I am excited for her future in USA volleyball.

Switzerland has always been a host country for U.S. players. Logan Tom, Robyn Ah-Mow Santos or Rita Crockett, among others, have played very successfully against the Alps, in a country well known for its chocolate more than volleyball. Some of the U.S. players moving to our country are very talented athletes, on the threshold of a great adventure, that have chosen Switzerland (if Switzerland did not chose them) to launch their international career. After having become aware of the fact that U.S. citizens have a real interest in their fellow-countrymen playing overseas, I decided to create a bridge between U.S.A. and Switzerland or, in fact, a pivotal forum for the dialogue between two totally opposite volleyball cultures. The debate is open. You have the floor on wsvl.blogspot.com/p/usa-meets-switzerland.html

Watched the replay of CEV match between Pesaro and Dinamo Moscow. Wow, Moscow looked very average despite having the likes of Goncharova, Yaneva and Perpelkhina. Klineman looked very good. But boy, Ortolani is a stud!

Is that Pesaro's first win in the Italian League? Klineman is still 22, I am excited for her future in USA volleyball. Yes, it's Pesaro's first league win. They are 1-6 now. They were performing so poorly early in the season (i.e. winless and 0 points in the rankings) that last month, their main sponsor made his disappointment very well known. Since the coaching change, things are looking bit better, but they've got a lot of work in front of them if they want to get into the playoffs. Watched the replay of CEV match between Pesaro and Dinamo Moscow. Wow, Moscow looked very average despite having the likes of Goncharova, Yaneva and Perpelkhina. Klineman looked very good. But boy, Ortolani is a stud! You picked a good time to watch Pesaro play. That was one of Ortolani's better matches of the early season. Dinamo Moscow really helped out Pesaro. To me, Dinamo Moscow has looked BELOW average. They weren't very good in their match vs Muszyna either They have signed Angelina Grun recently to see if she can help.

Grun will be a big help at least she's a better option than either Makarova or Yaneva IMHO.

Atom Trefl Sopot's passing leaves a lot to be desired. With Hodge and Ozsoy as OHs, that will happen a lot this season. Hodge has actually been a reasonably good passer.

With Hodge and Ozsoy as OHs, that will happen a lot this season. Hodge has actually been a reasonably good passer. In her two CEV matches I watched, Hodge passed at 12% and 15% excellent. Your definition of 'reasonably good' must be awfully low. Maybe you have access to other matches of hers with Sopot that I don't have access to?
