Let's hope it's not NBC Sports. I have yet to figure out how one gets that channel. On Comcast (34 in my lineup), you get it in the same group as FSN (Root in the NW), ESPN1, ESPN2, and SPEED. Don't know about satellite.

It looks like NBC is no longer tape delaying "live" matches (volleyball and soccer, anyway) on the west coast. Just got through watching a tremendous soccer match live between U.S. and Canada (won't reveal the winner in case you've DVR'd it).

I'm not sure what you really want. Do you want NBC to charge for live streaming? You'd be bitching about that.
Some of you might not be old enough to remember that ABC tape delayed the Miracle on Ice from an afternoon game to the evening (on a Friday) for the US market. Granted there was no internet/twitter to give spoilers....

I'm not sure what you really want. Do you want NBC to charge for live streaming? YES! YES! YES! SWEET HEAVENS TO BETSY, YES!!! Here NBC! Take my money!!! Have 50 bucks that will be pure profit because you don't have to run wires to my house send guys out to install a satellite or spend millions on lawyer fees negotiating contract agreements with Comcast and Time Warner and Brighthouse and Cox and DirecTV ; just give me an account to access the exact same service you're already providing to millions of others. Please for the love of Garrison Keillor let me throw some virtually undivided revenue your way!

Since I'd have to subscribe just to get the streams from nbcolympics.com (and navigate that without getting hooked into a long-term commitment, plus (I bet) pay installation/activation fees both joining and leaving) they're essentially charging for what they stream already. It all seems very inefficient compared to just letting me pay at the web site.

It was my senior year of high school. We were in a bar in Breckenridge CO. It was packed with fans. Didn't know it was time delayed. Will go down as one of the best upsets in Olympic History.

NBC is apparently delaying the US-DOM volleyball game three hours (2pm) on the west coast (2 hours in the Central time zone, I presume). GGGGRRRRRR!!!!!!!

"Live U.S. volleyball" two hours and some minutes past live...
Is there a rhyme and reason to this or are they just intentionally trying to jerk us around?
