USA wraps up Pool B with Turkey on Sunday, at noon PT.
Turkey is a dangerous team with a lot of fight, however they will be playing the Americans without their best MB, Eda, due to an ankle injury.
If USA can roof Darnel, it'll be a quick one.
Thought/predictions?

Scouting report for Turkey IMO is the following:
Neslihan, Neslihan and more Neslihan. Will she come out firing or missing completely? It's really a flip of a coin. Turkey lives and dies by her left arm both on attack from the front and pipe as well as the service line.
Both outside hitters, Neriman and Gozde are primarily cross-court attackers with the latter consistently going sharp cross-court. Neriman is a weak passer by international standards and I expect the USA to serve her as many balls as possible. Neither are particularly good shot makers but if they are going to have a successful offensive performance against the US block they're going to have to hit a lot of high hands and block out shots.
With Eda out, Turkey's middle attack is limited. Bahar is much more of a blocker than attacker. Cansu, the backup is young and undersized at just 185cm. US has a strong advantage at this position.
Naz is a good setter and probably the best blocking setter in the tournament.
They're pretty good at competing at the net but are prone to passing breakdowns and service errors.

Based on how strong the block was in our last few matches, particularly Akinradewo, I would hope that we can shut down the net and make this a quick one

For him to win against the best player who ever lived, Federer, a month after the Wimbledon final, and to do it at the Olympics in the same place is really something special.

Yeah, happy for Murray too! Hopefully he will win some slams in the future. But Federer is not the best ever player. He won most of his slams before Nadal and Djokovic had matured, and he benefited from Nadal's injuries in 2009 and 2012.

Looks like, for once, that they're actually carrying the match live on the west coast (12pm). Normally, we'd get it at 3pm.

I'm sorry but we have had enough of tennis with all the grand slams why show it again in the Olympics when there are other sports to watch. I guess because Murray was playing.
Heres a question, what do you think of watching other nations volleyball team games on live TV vs a USA team? Its fun to watch volleyball no matter what but why can't we watch our team play live instead of recaps of the game, I think its unfair. NBC is a USA network.

They've been covering matches in their entirety, live in the eastern and central time zones, except when shown in prime time. Looks like today's coverage will be live in all U.S. time zones (don't know about Hawaii, however). Being shown in prime time, due to NBC's artificial scarcity profit model, dictates not only truncated coverage, but that that is the ONLY televised coverage. The worst example of that was the extremely truncated coverage of the Pentathon last night - repeating the exact same truncated coverage again this morning doesn't make up for it.

It has been on Bravo. What are you talking about. More volleyball has been shown on NBC. We should be happy with the amount of volleyball they've broadcast. Seeing the Tennis Gold medal matches live on NBC is okay with me.

Looks like the coverage won't start on time because this Water Polo match will probably run past 3 pm eastern.
