Was hoping for a transfer to fill Ogbogu's decommitment, but seems like Rostratter will be returning after all!!! It'll be interesting to see who ends up being libero with incumbents Rostratter and McKennon, and highly hyped newcomer Kerr.
Team could do really well if everyone stays healthy, looking forward to seeing what they do during spring ball.
Setter: Jensen/Caloiaro/Parrott Opp: Higgins/Parrott/Vukasovic MB: Schonewise/Jordan/Vukasovic/Milosavljevic OH: Gehan/Neumayr/Gombar/Vukasovic L/DS: Rostratter/Kerr/McKennon/Davis
Really hoping Vukasovic can fix her arm swing, and Gombar can up her offense Would like to see more confident/aggressive play from Higgins, Parrott, and Gehan
edit: forgot Milosavljevic

Can't keep my nose out of a Cal thread! I really wonder about Neumyer; sure hope she can play, but injured two years in a row; not even sure if she injured the same knee, but I assume so. Volleyball is a brutal sport to play with a bad knee. Excited if Rostrattor is really back! A weakness turns into a strength. Been watching the guys play, and they make 3 pass after 3 pass; the ladies could take some lessons, on all the college teams.

Looks like OR is in the PAC to stay (for how long..dunno?); Feller's/Cal's only hope now is 'sand'.

...... I found out that Oni Lattin had transferred from SDSU to a JC in Houston. If she's on track to graduate, I wonder if she's interested in Cal again. She's now listed as a middle. I would note that Jenelle Jordan is from the same HS, not that I know if it would make a difference. www.sanjacsports.com/node/8059Per Rich Kern, she is joining Colorado this fall.

That's a huge get for the Buffs. That puts Austin at RS, with Lattin and Lindow in the middle. I definitely don't see the Bears above 8th now (Stanford, USC, Washington, Oregon, UCLA, Arizona St, Colorado are my top 7) and I could see Arizona and maybe someone else ahead of them.

If everyone stays healthy, I could see Cal nab 4th place. Gehan is a stud and Higgins is only going to get better. In addition, Rostratter is back and she is one helluva defender. Lillian Schoenwise should also be on the court and she was great as a freshman, imho. Alyssa Jensen is supposed to be uber talented so the setter position should be an upgrade from Caloiaro. There are still some missing pieces, like the second outside spot and both middles (assuming Higgins takes over for Johnson on the right), but the potential is there. I certainly like them better than UCLA, who lost both outside studs. At least Cal has Gehan and Higgins.

If Neumayr is back and healthy, then that really changes things, especially ball control.

Lattin couldn't get off the bench on a mediocre San Diego State team in 2011, and her JC numbers weren't anything that jumped out at you. She might help the Buffs some, but a "huge get?"

Her ranking out of HS was based on her potential. It doesn't sound like she's quite lived up to that potential, but who knows what happens moving forward. I too question whether or not she's a great get at this time. Still - I'm glad to see that she's landed on her feet.

Looks like there was a closed scrimmage against Sac State. A short video and some nice photos on their facebook page: www.facebook.com/calvolleyball#!/calvolleyball Nice to see them in action. Jordan and Jensen have reported too.

I really wouldn't worry to much about Cal. There biggest issues was passing... the fact we were getting Kerr was great enough... but Rostratter back too? Talk about some good karma finally coming our way!
Schonewise will be great in the middle and Jensen is one hellof a setter. Will have some early growing pains but definitely some real positive things
