I keep thinking April Ross is still playing for USC. I'm stuck in the past.

I keep thinking April Ross is still playing for USC. I'm stuck in the past. April was a guest commentator on the Pac-12 USC @ UCLA broadcast a few weeks ago. She made a lot of good technical comments about the hitting/blocking of both teams.

I hope USC will win and they have a good chance if Fuller is consistent and Olgard keep playing the way she has been playing lately.

USC middles will have to block. Hagglund and the other OH's will be back to business as usual.

WSU has no chance. USC should take the week off and just show up. If the Trojans want to prepare, then prepare for Texas. If fact, just show up Saturday morning; have the cheer squad play WSU on Friday. I don't know about the week off but focusing on Texas and basically having a "cheer squad like" effort in the semis was a successful strategy back in 2007 in Gainesville. I for one hope they decide to revisit this strategy because I think WSU is good enough to make them pay for it.

Chris Lamb is a NorCal guy who knows a lot about volleyball and psychology. Here are some of his postgame comments:

USC is already 2-0 against WSU this year. Can they beat the same set of initials three times? I hear that's supposed to be really hard to do. Penn State couldn't do it.

Too much negative energy on WSU. They're the champions of Kansas. SC can't say that!

Too much negative energy on WSU. They're the champions of Kansas and Arkansas. SC can't say that! Fixed it for you. WSU is the true underdog of the second weekend and I think lots of us like to root for the underdog. So this is a shout out and a thank you to the Florida, Texas and other fans who cheer for the Shockers on Friday in Austin.

I am hoping USC won't take them lightly.

1. WSU beat Arkansas in the first round. 2. People from Arkansas cannot pronounce English: Pronounce Arkansaw Now pronounce Ar kansas3. Look at the connection between the words KANSAS and Ar KANSAS. It's a joke. The Arkansas river is pronounced "Arkansaw" in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas but it is pronounced "Arkansas" in Kansas. People in Kansas know how to pronounce the language. ;D

I just don't see Mick getting one-upped here. I think WSU may fight well and push some sets close but deathly Trojan efficiency will stop this in 3.
