1. WSU beat Arkansas in the first round. 2. People from Arkansas cannot pronounce English: Pronounce Arkansaw Now pronounce Ar kansas3. Look at the connection between the words KANSAS and Ar KANSAS. It's a joke. The Arkansas river is pronounced "Arkansaw" in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas but it is pronounced "Arkansas" in Kansas. People in Kansas know how to pronounce the language. ;D I think I was thrown off by how UNFUNNY that was. I figured, "this must be serious, because surely if this were a joke, I would be laughing right now."

Barefoot, first I'd like to say I was in Hawai'i in 2009 when Texas came and romped your court clean of all teams that were there, but the best thing about it was the fans. The Wahine really know how to pack an arena and they were very nice people. Texas will be back next year in pre season in your tournament, not sure if you know that or not so we are all looking forward to coming back to you islands. No disrepect to you at all. I watched the Washington Hawai'i match and OMG that was some D. That's what volleyball is all about, it was amazing, this year I do feel Hawai'i got a bad draw, that match should of happened in the sweet sixteen or elite 8. I love the Wahine! I'm a Texas fan through and through but Hawai'i played very well. Come on though, I can see you downplaying Texas for ball control somewhat but defense as far as blocking, no way. Texas is one of the best when it comes to blocking this year. Ball control not so much, but I'm sure all the coaches are aware. Good luck to everyone! Hook em! With everyone but McNeal coming back for Texas and everyone but Maeda coming back for Hawaii that should be some match. Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea. Yes, we will be in Hawai'i pre season next year! can't wait...loved loved loved going to see the Wahine play! Yes with Texas only losing McNeal, it will be great ball.

TEXAS HAS TO PASS THOUGH to run their hitters. USC has an extremely balanced serve. Bricio comes with a very hard top-spin jump from a two hand toss, Yoder & Crone bring a less hard top-spin jump off one-hand toss. Hagglund, Shaw, Fuller, all have effective float serves. It will be interesting to see what Texas struggles with. USC's passing on the other hand will depend on if Texas can keep the ball away from Natalie Hagglund and Sara Shaw. If they can target Fuller and Bricio effectively, it will increase their chances dramatically. Yes the setters and Bricio have amazing serves...let's hope Texas pass shows up...It will be a good match if Texas vs USC are in the final but USC has to get through a very tough and "nothing to lose" Wichita State team and Texas has to get through a good Florida team. I'm glad we're at home because I can tell you we will pack it in Gregory, it will be loud where you won't be able to hear yourself think. I'm so happy to see USC here though, love them too.!! Great athletes. Plus, we all know Shaw from AJV club...she will have some fans.

Too much negative energy on WSU. They're the champions of Kansas and Arkansas. SC can't say that! Fixed it for you. WSU is the true underdog of the second weekend and I think lots of us like to root for the underdog. So this is a shout out and a thank you to the Florida, Texas and other fans who cheer for the Shockers on Friday in Austin. I love the way WSU looks this year, I've seen them take some losses but also come away with some big wins...Same with USC and Texas and Florida...so it will be a fun regional and it's anyone's game. Texas has the advantage being at home. When we are there for WSU and USC I will cheer for both...as I like both teams, I know more of USC though so I know what they can do, I really only seen WSU a couple times, I remember in Houston this past Spring they did some great things in Spring ball, until they met Bailey Webster. LOL....but she is a premier blocker, I don't know, who knows, I'm just glad we have some great teams here in Austin this weekend and I'm glad we can host...so EXCITED!!! BRICIO for NFOY! I can't wait to see how she does against our Texas block though...she's a phenom though. Reminds me of Eckerman, but Eckerman hits a very VERY hard ball.

I hope you all know that I expect USC to sweep WSU. (I'm not crazy, after all. ) However I hope Chris Lamb comes up with a strategy that lets the Shockers shock the Trojans.

Was on a flight from DFW to Austin on Wednesday night with the Shockers volleyball team/staff. Lots of happy youngsters wearing their Sweet 16 shirts. Made me realize what a milestone this is for that program.
Hope they do well on Friday! ;D

Why do the L.A Times., Long Beach Press, Pasadena Star news and ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER CALL THEM SOUTHERN cAL? Not to mention The San Jose Mercury and San Francisco Chornicle?
